Considering In The End is my favorite song of all time, I have to go with that. Although, I do love LITE and have been listening to it nonstop since Friday.

I don't really care much for either... but equally. So I guess I'll go with In the End since even the "new-album hype" doesn't put LITE on top.

You can't compare any song to In The End.. No matter how good it is.

In the end has a special place in my heart simply because its in the end. That being said I vote lost in the echo because in the end its a better song lyrically and musically.

Sentiment aside, LITE is a much better song than In the End...lyrically, musically, and it has more originality

I don't know if In The End was less original than LITE at the time it came out. If anything I would say that ITE (and most of HT) felt original to me when I first heard it while LITE feels like an improvement upon that style.

At the time, In The End was original. Right now, Lost in the Echo is original. You can't say something is unoriginal when it was released 12 years ago. Anyway, This is a really tough choice as both of these are in my Top 3 favourite songs but I'll have to go with In The End because it's a childhood song and despite Lost in the Echo being beyond amazing, nothing could ever replace complete nostalgia. But this is a really tough decision - both are amazing lyrically and musically, and contain everything you could love about Linkin Park

There's a reason why In the End is the song that made LP a household name and is their only single to hit no. 1 on the Top 40 of the POP charts. It's a classic. A lot of bands most classic songs aren't their "best" but part of music is writing songs that hits people emotionally, not writing the most clever lyrics you can possibly come up with.

I didn't say In the End wasn't original, I said LITE is more original due to the fact that it's not just a rap-rock song...it combines a lot of the things LP has done throughout their discography. Sorry, should've clarified what I meant by that

Both great songs. I find it hard to way which is better when they both give off completely different kinds of energy. Lost In The Echo has become one of my favorite LP songs off all time. They have to make it a single. I think it would help their album sales like crazy

In the end. That's a classic and this song is like a song that "represents" Linkin park. You just gotta say In the end and everyone will know it's from LP. I grew up listening to it and this song never gets bored after so many years. I like lost in the echo but no, definetely not better than in the end but maybe my top ten :)

Lost in the Echo. My third favorite LP song now (after Breaking the Habit and Castle of Glass).

Actually, In the End never reached the top spot. It was kept off by a Jennifer Lopez/Ja Rule song.
