I dreamed about it, talked about it Fought about it, even screamed about it But all in all just take the fall We were lost along the way You dare deny it, don't try to hide it Too scared to fight it, let alone defy it All in all just take the fall We were lost along the way When you look at me that way It's like I'm looking at myself And when you say the things you say It's like I'm talking to myself But now it's over We can see the sun through the rain And now we're older No more struggle, no more constant shame You can say you understand But I didn't see your footprints in the sand You can say that you've been there But I don't see the marks upon your hands It's just another way To try to make me understand It's an open grave I don't need you to hold my hand But now it's ended My pride is missing What do you want from me? Why can't you see that I want to believe it Why can't you believe in me? I dreamed about it, talked about it Fought about it, even screamed about it But all in all just take the fall We were lost along the way You dare deny it, don't try to hide it Too scared to fight it, let alone defy it All in all just take the fall We were lost along the way Lost along the way...
Please tell me that this is turning into a song coz, it's going to be one brilliant song. Love it. The sense of vulnerable maturity is so vivid. You put the point across very directly, yet subtly drowning it in the fluency of the verses. 8/10.
It's pretty good, only a few words don't fit in my opinion, unless the way you say them make them fit. I'm not sure. I'd have to hear you sing it or something lol.
