I already have it on my schedule for the next two weeks....this weekend Im abducting one of my friends and taking her to see it, and Im also going on my birthday, January 6th with all of my friends.
hey guys..sorry to go off-topic a little but just wondering, what trailers did they show with Return of the King anyway? I just want to know for sure if they'll play the Spider-man 2 teaser trailer when I go see it
they do, its best to watch it on a big scene, looks better, but in my book, spidy wont every be anything comparred to lord of the rings
They also played the Harry Potter 3 teaser trailer! Definitely gotta see that one. So, anyway, GREAT MOVIE! And I think I'm gonna see it again today. B)
Probably my fav. movie ever....wow what a piece of work. I really liked how they did the ending with the ring-bearers sailing off out of the grey havens, but I think they should have just followed them out to sea and ended it there... BUT I WAS MAD!! They didn't include and entire chapter 'the scouring of the shire' where Saruman escapes Isengard with some men and takes over the shire and theres a battle with hobbits vs. (the evil) men and then Saruman gets killed and then the shires saved. Maybe they will put that in the extended version, me hopes.
Nope, the Scouring was completely removed....the little bit of it you see in Fellowship (Frodo looking in Galadriel's mirror) is all we will see of it.
I saw it yesterday, I was dissapointed in a few things... It could have been much better, but it's still the best movie of the year!
You will love it! I am probably going to see it that day too...it'll be my second time...and I CAN'T WAIT! I'm probably going to see it at least four times before school starts again.

i am glad they didnt, becuase it would make the movie 4 hours or more, and would mess up the flow of it, and make yet another battle, very anti-climatic, perter jackson never even shot it, he said he never liked that part of the book
I saw it this weekend but it didnt seem that great. IMO The first two were much better, but maybe thats because I just havent read the third book. 50% of the movie was war and I cant believe how freakin long the end took. My knees and legs were stiff as hell by the time it FINALLY finished. The effects and plotline was great but they should have condensed it. But hey, like I said, I probably should have read the book first.
Most people didnt like the long ending to the movie and just thought WHEN IS IT GOING TO END but I loved it because it answered every question and to those who thought they should of ended it and not have that long ending becouse you could just leave it up to the viewers imagination, if you think they should of left it up for the viewers imagination why should they go look at the movie, they should just read the book and thats all. Your watching a movie why use your imagination when you looking at somebody else's. stupid reviewers
i liked the movie, but after the crowing of Aragorn I said "OK, credits roll in 3....2....1.....1....1....*20 minutes later*...1..........0!"
4 hours. See that? Hate it now.
Actually they took out about an hour of film this time around, so were lookin at a good 4.5 hours on that dvd.
I cant wait and by the way for those who bought the Fellow ship and Two Towers Extended editions those arnt even really the extended editions becouse theres even extended extended editions.
