Okay if you believe HT/Meteora style will have a big success, do you believe bringing back the 2000's fashion will have a great success too?
    (these old baggy jeans..oh boy)

oh this picture is perfect, coz it seems like success is when you earn a trophy and sold millions of copies:

exactly brad and joe: F*** mainstream
(yes you cant compare music to fashion but in the end its all about the customers taste)

and my own opinion: I still dislike it but as I know the band, they show the world the part of the song that wont sound at all like the rest...you know we know think the song sounds like that but in the end they will just surprise you...like they always do. (i.E the electronicdrums fade away and you get a hardcore metal song)

Derek pointed out in another thread that using religious terminology does not indicate a christian influence, since this imagery is pretty common in political/patriotic rhetorics in America as well. And GOD, I hope he's right! If the message of the song is about how god is the only one who can save us and that we all should pray and stuff, then I will have to hit the stop button. (No offense to anyone who would appreciate it.)

You have a great point with the Mona Lisa. Didn't think about it that way :)

I think the 20th century in which I was born into is the worst. When Techno became popular... *EYECANCER*

    DONT LISTEN TO IT ANYMORE
It will just ruin it for you when you hear the full song...:p
I will try not to listen to any snippet again untill i can hear the full song :D
Imagine how surprised we will have become if we hadn't heard any snippet or if the contest hadn't been held... I would actually have preffered that

That's what happens when your a hardcore Linkin park fan following them on the fansite that brings you information before LP does. But haha, yeah I know what you mean. I'm going to not listen to anything anymore either (or try to XD)

I have to laugh at all these people saying they want the "old Linkin Park sound back!". Linkin Park do not have a defined sound. They never did. From the start when the band first got together, they always said that they never wanted to have the "rap verse" and the "hard rock chorus" and that they wanted to make music that was unexpected, and completely different from what most people had heard in the past. Unfortunately due to label pressure, they lost that with Meteora...but now the band is finally doing what they wanted to with Hybrid Theory: Make the music THEY wanted to make, and not what their label or general public told them to do. They're doing what they want to do, just like they did when they defied all odds and sold millions over 10 years ago.

    Let them shine.

I wouldn't be so sure. The electronica movement brought about such artists as The Prodigy, Daft Punk, and whole genres of great music. Techno in and of itself is actually fun to listen to if you're into that dance scene. Seeing that scene evolve from pop locking to liquiding to ticking to modern boogaloo is quite a feast on the eyes.
