The problem with all of this is that we have nobody rallying behind the cause of fighting terrorism anymore. Everyone thinks that this effort by the big countries (America, Italy, Europe etc) is just a waste of time and money, and then lo and behold this happens.

When 9/11 went on, you couldn't go through 3 houses without an American Flag hanging out on each one. Now you'd be lucky to find 2 in a row. We need to be united and go against these people, but that'll never happen again and the terrorists know this. Because of the fact that this isn't only motivated by the G8 Summit but also because of Iraq, there's going to be an even bigger resentment towards America now, because we still have Iraq going on after all this time.

My point is, and I know this is going to have a lot of people disagreeing with me is that sure it's great we're worrying about poverty, but we have to stand together on the issue of terrorism too, because those bastards are the people who really have the money.

If we stand half and half or on the one side of things these suicide bombers or this reported "Al-Queda" organization is just going to keep getting away with attacks such as these.

The upsetting thing is that you know that with G8 only a little while away that this probably isn't the end of the terrorist attacks. America and these other targeted countries are gonna have to go on high alert because of that quote by Al-Queda is true, Italy and Denmark are going to be next.

God bless the families of the fallen people in this tragedy.

And you know what really pisses me off while we're on the topic of this? Only the news channels have this on!

America is supposed to be on "high alert" and yet how are they supposed to know this when channels like CBS, MTV, ESPN and ABC are still resuming with their regulary scheduled programming?

When stuff like this happens, these big channels have to put a pause to their boring soap operas or reality shows, and cut a live feed of what's currentely going on.

They need to drum this home instead of worrying about if so and so porked this guy on The Real World.

This is the real world right here, not that stupid reality show.

yeah. they had it on every terrestrial channel in england. that's the way it needs to be, otherwise people either won't see it, or just flick over and watch something else.

Exactly. Omar of LPA is a Muslim and he can tell you right now that his religion has no affiliation with the terrorist attacks whatsoever.

Muslims are peaceful, loving people and they would never support hate crimes such as these.

And testorz, I agree with everything you said. Just because someone isnt a threat to us doesn't mean we shouldn't try to stop it.

Although Hitler had the power to attack America, we also tried to kill him because of what he was doing to the Jews.

Yeah some people think we are idiotic to try and be the 'peacemakers', but really...had America not taken Saddam Hussein out of power and tried to rebuild Iraq, who would've?

My dad was driving the two of us to my eye doctor check-up earlier this morning... Tony Blair's speech interrupted the radio waves. It was as though he was choking back sobs... I was so distraught. I'm settling... I'm just worried, I suppose... for the future of humanity as we know it, and it's relations. I have extended family in London and neighboring cities and towns... I hope everyone's alright... :'(

You know, this whole thing makes me so goddamn mad. I dont get the point of terrorism and why people have to just kill people like this.

I mean Nikki's freinds Kyle and Gavin were in London. Gavin she has heard from but Kyle went out to get something and neither Gavin nor Nikki have heard from him yet to say he's alright.

And then Cassie has extended family in London.

You dont realize how close these things hit home until someone you know could be in danger. Like with 9/11 one of my friends was in New York at the time. I was terrified.

For god sake you cocks, stop arguing. There's more important things in life right now than how much of a knob Blair/Bush/terrorists/your mum is.

The Web site claim of responsibility by a self-proclaimed and previously unheard of al Qaeda group in Europe said the blasts were "in retaliation for the massacres Britain is committing in Iraq and Afghanistan."

Fanatics, I'm guessing. As sorry as I am, this kind of thing was happening in the far east daily because of us a few weeks ago, and for all I know (I stopped following the occupation) it could still be. George Galloway (leader of Respect, a socialist party) said that the allies should withdraw if this isn't to happen again. Even if he is a Saddam Hussein sympathiser, I agree.

Ugh. Like Nikki said, we need to stop fighting about how much of a 'knob' Bush/Blair is and work to fight these dipshits.

They wanna try to ruin our countries/freedom? Well they aren't going to do it without a fight. I'm going outside to hang up some more American flags soon.

Show your love for your country and let's all unite as one to stop this shit. We've already united on the topic of poverty, so lets further unite for the greater good of mankind.

I haven't felt this passionate since 9/11. Despite not being on my own soil, I feel this rage within me that something HAS to be done.
