These descriptions have put me at ease somewhat. Castle of Glass in particular.
Interesting, I just noted that HitFix and Golden Mixtape don't coincide on CASTLE OF GLASS lyrics "take me down to the river bank/bend.." .. Which one is right? Which one makes more sense?
I just re-read this article more carefully and it's awesome how the different editors had their own view on the songs yet all the reviews have strong points in common. This information is gold and mouthwatering.
Thanks for that thread Ree!!
btw, I didn't know, that the pic I took of Shinoda made it to a smilie on LPA << I took the pic where he looked like this lol
I posted a similar thread to this, I realized i didn't post enough info so I apologize for not giving enough info on the song descriptions. Ree did a good job with this thread.
btw. Can't wait for Living Things. June 22 can't come fast enough!!!
Why are LP in such a bad mood this time? Why not sing about the good things in life like a family that loves you or finding your inner strength.
TINFOIL might be a song about them baking cakes and cookies for their loved ones.
i really want to hear Castle of Glass
.. Yeah they should. And they should drop out of soundtracking Transformers and do Disney Movies. Also I heard Mike's next movie score will be for a remake of Mary Poppins.
I concur. I mean this is amazing isn't it?
But seriously. Phineas and Ferb is an awesome show.
I'm most excited for LIES GREED MISERY, IN MY REMAINS and CASTLE OF GLASS. I can't fucking wait for this album. I haven't been this excited for LP material since waiting for MTM. I hope we get some info on the other tracks, VICTIMIZED and TINFOIL sound interesting.
It could be a follow on from 26 Lettaz In Da Alphabet.
Tinfoil is this albums Cure For The Itch/Session. The 11th song, once again, will be a Hahn song.
$5 on it.
You guys know there's a whole spectrum of emotions that can be conveyed between brooding chronic mope and completely unconvincing "happy for the sake of happy", yes?
Frankly, I agree with ol Dave. While they've gotten out of it being a defining trait, Mike and friends always have leaned on the whole "Jesus, you've upset me quite a lot, faceless entity" motif for a significant chunk of their career. Lyrics like LOATR and Iridescent are a welcome change.
That said, all we really have to work with is song titles atm. So what the hell do we know.
This. I want more variety in terms of subject matter. I certainly wouldn't mind some more uplifting songs and less vagueness, as well.
We know LP have the potential to make uplifting songs so hopefully they'll incorporate that in the new album somewhere. There's still like 5 songs that we know nothing about yet so we'll see how this turns out.
I think Hahn deserves a song. It's about time
Maybe Mike sampled this for one of the songs:
I'm honestly only interested in three of the songs described so far.
Separate names with a comma.
