Yeah seems like he thinks we should of reached 3k by now.

 

With how many fans LP has, it's hard to believe we're having this much trouble getting to 3,000 followers. Are people really that lazy?

 

I am not in twitter. That's why it's taking so long to get 3k followers.

 

That's the annoying part, and it's really disappointing that Mike would force us to include that part of the fanbase. The actual reward is only part of the fun of the Scavenger Hunt, and the community of fans that cares about the hunt - especially this one - is being shackled and forced to drag around a group of people who really don't give a damn.

Let's take a timeline:
-We discover Allan's Twitter account at 10:15 PM on May 9, 2012 (-5 UTC)
-Allan tweets calling for 3k followers at 1:20 PM on May 10, 2012 (-5 UTC)

-As of 6 PM (-5 UTC) there were 1337 followers.

-Mike tweets at 6:07 PM (-5 UTC) asking for followers
-As of 6:25 PM (-5 UTC) there are 1582 followers


In 18 minutes Mike got 250 people who couldn't give less of a shit who Allan is to follow his Twitter account.

 

Lettuce be cereal for a second. This is as much a marketing campaign as it is a treat for the fans. They're "forcing" us to include the part of the fan base that isn't as active in the fan community because the whole point of this is to hype up the new album and tour. Making this scavenger hunt only for the "hardcore fans" is just preaching to the choir.

 

This hunt def has had lies, Allen is greedy and I'm miserable waiting. This better not end up with a rick roll!

 

Ok then, in all seriousness, who is going to be involved in this Scavenger Hunt? The fairweather fans? Non-LP fans? No, we're going to, the hardcore fans. The marketing is fine, post updates on LP.com and the social media outlets. But don't try to include people who don't care to be included.

That's my only issue with this.

 

Also ppl could post on festival forums like download festival rock am ring and try n get follows that way

 

Participating on the scavenger hunt is not the only way to state that anyone's a hardcore Linkin Park fan. Sure, all those of us who are on it are, but I'm sure there are many hardcore fans who don't give a crap about this and stay low-profile, waiting for the reward to be revealed.

I know we are a lot more that the ones who are on here or every other fansite trying to solve this. The people here are the ones who actually are willing to participate, and that principle applies to every other aspect you can imagine.

 

Need to solve the puzzle to get the reward xD. tell them that.

It goes in one ear and out the other with fans.

But, Mike wants the LP fans if not all to get involved.

 

We should bribe the fans with potatoes.

 

ANYONE WHO FOLLOWS ALLAN ON TWITTER, WILL EARN A FREE AS WELL AS THE ABILITY TO ENJOY THE REWARD OF THE SCAVENGER HUNT WITH US.
