At the risk of sounding all weirdo and/or fanboy...reading Mike's blog today kinda made me go wide-eyed at how much I seem to think alike with him at times. Maybe not so often getting friends together at school lunch breaks (although I did do that as well a couple times) but favourite band album releases were events for me too, I'd mark the day and go right after school, make efforts to make sure I was in the store that day, etc. Nowadays, only Linkin Park album releases are still considered events, but with A Thousand Suns I did exactly what he talked about in the blog, drove out to a store far enough away from home to have enough time to blast the album front to back with my car's pretty-good audio system. Resisting the leak has been my plan all along, so challenge happily accepted. I wish like Mike does that more people would see the value (for lack of a better term) in this concept, but to each their own. I can however understand, especially with Linkin Park, not being able to resist a leak (hell I eyed one for A Thousand Suns online two years ago for like two full minutes before shaking my head and saying 'no'). The only person who I could fully enjoy this release day excitement with is currently 3000 miles away from me, so I'll have to do this alone, but that's alright. Lastly, and yea it's off topic but whatever I just stayed on topic for two paragraphs...let's go LA Kings, bring it home tonight.
I don't have it. A guy from London said he has the album and a few other guys too and he didn't tell me where to get it. In some tumblr there is this screen But who knows, maybe they're fckng with us lol. The times seems to be legit
I cheked it and the format of mp3 times is 0:03:45. The first number is the "hour" (just one number), then comes the minutes (two numbers) and then the seconds (two numbers). So if this screen is legit, it's been cut before showing the seconds. Maybe I'm too obcessed lol I can't find it, so yeah, I've been punk'd I guess...
It will get leaked very soon maybe by the weekend, i remember with M2M it was leaked a month b 4 its release.
someones screwing with us. as exciting as it may be, it's fake. and even if that was the real album, it's only 128kbps. yuck.
dude i totally forgot that! always thought in my head that it leaked a week or two before. LOL. i had to go research it, and i remember spiderman 3 came out the same day or the day before.
Meh, waiting for the album to come out is WAY better. Torrents, illegal downloads and leaks are for losers and n00bs anyway.
What would have made this challenge so much better was if the band had purposely "leaked" a copy of Living Things, but all the tracks were broken in some fashion. Or like, kazoos played at random intervals. Then, when fans complained about the random kazoo sounds, the band could've been like, "You FAILED the challenge!" Because really, while I respect Mike making the request, the "challenge" isn't really a challenge. It's more like a pinky promise...
Well you never know. Maybe that's exactly what the band did. The leak has not officially occurred. Maybe Vuvuzelas will be playing the entire time in the background. Maybe the leak will start the album and finish half way with "Barney's" theme song
Yeah something like that and i remember, Meteora got leaked too, cause i remember hearing SWIB, hit the floor, lying from you, dont stay, and figure 09 be 4 it got released.
