On Spotify they have a THIS IS: LINKIN PARK play list.... I've constantly been playing that since Wednesday night... while at work... I have thought to myself is he really gone ? But it's just a split second.. I guess he's not completely gone as he put so much of himself.. his heart & soul ... his pain & sorrow.. his battle into the lyrics and delivering them to us in the music... there'll always be a part of him continuing on .... I guess that's what Talinda's message to the fans was all about " And I know that all of you will help keep his memory alive." By continuing to listen to his work etc we'll be helping keep his memory alive... (I'm a terrible rambler when tired.. on nights at moment)
Yeah it was fun but also sad, alot of people are sad but the only thing we can do now as fans is Celebrate Chester's legacy, and make his music live on forever
You're right. He poured his soul into his work and it touched millions around the world. You could say he changed the world in like a butterfly effect... and I know he'll live in our hearts forever.
I found a YouTube comment that actually touched me. Chester did not leave a suicide note, because he had already left a whole discography's worth of them.
I don't see it as a suicide note nor a call for help because for me his whole discography's him confronting and fighting his demons with all he's got. He may not have won the battle, but his music is left for us to pick up the pieces and fight the good fight for him. In a way, he still helped more people than he knew even if he's not around to see it anymore.
No I can't support such a disturbing idea. Those albums were really simply written about dark moments in his life. Chester has had a history of serious depression, mental illness and drug and alcohol use. Those contributed to his impulsive choice to take his life imo. Nothing more, nothing less
This crushed me so much. He "always wanted to live" --- So hard to accept that it was his funeral today. Maybe a lot of us can now try and come to terms with this as some kind of "closure". All we can do now is celebrate him by enjoying the music and the memories he has left behind. Rest in peace, Chester.
I can handle it better than the last days. Better it was a small, private funeral. So they were quite undisturbed and can mourn in peace.
