The brooding piano in the intro and the guitars outro might be my favorite points in the entire song.
Just try to Shazam "Somewhere I Belong" on my Lenovo phone and I found the ad of it. I love that f*ckin' song. IT BLOWS MY MIND!!!!
If GAT wasn't an LP song, I wouldn't listen to it twice. That's bad. I like the negative energy due to nostalgia, but to me it doesn't sound like LP at all. I like ''No More Sorrow'' and I have nothing against ''VICTIMIZED''. It just feels incredibly generic in comparison (considering whose song this is). There are some pretty standard, old-school riffs that are hard-rock/metal default sound wrapped around a semi-catchy melody, but that's all I hear in it. Sure I like the fact that Brad's actually playing guitar and that Rob's going wild on the drums, but the sonic scope of it all is incredibly small. No electronic elements, no Joe, no Mike's rap verses? I can live with that (for a song or two). But strip it of everything Linkin Park, and you get stuck with a standard hard-rock band with Chester as a singer.
Not a fan of the vocals (Rakim's part is dope, though) but digging the instrumentation. Not #CuttingEdge at all, nowhere near innovative. But it's nice to see the guys upping the instrumentation. Good track.
I actually used Somewhere I Belong first, too, and didn't get shit, and then I got it to work with Castle of Glass
I used "Blackout" and it worked. Chose it because it was the last Linkin Park song I played on my iPod.
With the reception this song is getting in the fanbase, Warner better not fuck up the promotion of this single, let alone the album. I hope this single can skyrocket the charts. If LITE had the potential to (we all know what happened ), I think this song will have absolutely no problem whatsoever. Loving this.
the song is fucking brilliant, I seriously can't have enough of it. I'm enjoying every moment and I've already listened to it like 20 times. Fantastic, thanks LP keep that up!
