Old me: Yeah, but those intros are technical mastery on display! Current me: Yeah, and that's why I don't really listen to those bands anymore.
Mike said in an interview he wanted Brad to do stuff that would make 16-year-old Brad want to play guitar.
I can't believe people are complaining, guess you can't please everyone! This is something I personally have always wished LP would do.. have aggression with a purpose, not just for the sake of being aggressive, if this single is any indication of what the album will be like then we are all in for a treat!
You know what? Hell yeah! This song is awesome! It just took a few more listens for me to get into it a little more. EDIT: This song will absolutely KILL live. GOD this makes me so excited for the next album, no matter what direction the other songs take on it!
On a side note and i know some of you people have noticed there are electronic elements in this song wich means maybe othersong on the album could be more electronic driven than this one
Possibly. I still feel electronics will take a back seat for this album. Still present, but not the prominent force of the song.
I doubt it. We still don't even know if LP has ANY involvement with that movie. But I am REALLY curious now as to what tomorrow's announcement is...if it wasn't this.
Honestly, and I rarely have anything that I feel the need to complain about when it comes to LP other than stupid fans, that artwork feels a little too 'Recharged-y' if that makes sense?
the beginning felt like a demo for an LPU cd, then the next minute felt like a jam session. as soon as chester came, i felt a dark presence. i think this song is already gonna be the 1st track in the album (unless theres an interlude leading up to it). i do agree that this is a "in your face" kinda song. taht guitar solo... id be more impressed to see Brad play taht live. it is a little meh-ish to me atm, but ill let it grow on me when the album drops.
