Oh, so the record label and their management were trying to tell them to go back to the old sound and don't make this album and whatnot? I'm only guessing, I haven't (and won't) watch that documentary, and I'm only going off what Minus said. And if that's the case...

    HAHAHAHA.

How convenient. They release an album full of material that breaks the mold (for Linkin Park, mind you), and then all of this melodramatic "THEY TRIED TO STOP US!!!" stuff? Do you smell that? It smells like...a set-up. A work.

I don't agree with the first post, or any of you after that post. But I do think that maybe it's time they call it quits, atleast for a couple of years.

Some of you could be a bit more respectful with your criticism.

And just to voice my opinion, I do not agree with the original post. I think this album is a tremendous step forward for Linkin Park. They're in a good place right now. Breaking up would be foolish, in my opinion.

Also, you can't say that you don't want the band to go back to their old sound and also say that you want them to make good songs...and refer to songs that sound like old Linkin Park. That's contradictory.

It's a new direction and, really, it's okay for people not to like the new sound. It's understandable and I don't disrespect you if you hate the new sound. That's fine. Just, I don't think it's reason to break up or reason to believe that Linkin Park is bad. It's just a different direction. That's all it is.

Hello Minus, I'd like to introduce you to Casey. Sadly you're several years late in realizing the above fact you just mentioned about Casey.

Well..umm...you smell like doodie and umm...thanks for your time. Have a nice day!

No seriously GTFO, people like you are the reason why I eventually have to write ridiculously long and detail response with reasons as to why Linkin Park has no specific genre. Then after that, listen to your insane idea as to why the band should sound like what YOU want them to sound like. So for the 100th TIME, THERE NOT GOING TO GO BACK TO HYBRID THEORY AND METORA, if you wanna be all emo about it go grab a violin and listen to Story of the Year. CAPEESH!?

I don't think there was really much of a reason for you to write your "ridiculously long and detail response" when everyone else has already done it for you in a more subtle manner...

I don't agree at all. Linkin Park is finally making the music they really want to be making, and should have made back in 2003, when Warner told them to release Meteora in the nu-metal (or whatever the fuck you want to call it) genre. Why do you think they wanted out of their recording contract?

The idea that they should go their separate ways is complete ridiculous. I think this is their best album to date, and it shows just how talented the band really is.

I just figured in the few bans and troubles I know he's gone through that he would've grown up a bit by now.

    But yeah again, I disagree.

There's no need. Let's not talk about this anymore and get back on topic.

I'm closing this thread. Not because of the OP, but because of the embarrassing childish remarks in this thread. Most of you need to take a step back and realize how ridiculous you all sound.
