I have this feeling that Lana will beat LP the first week and LP will beat Lana the 2nd week.
In the 2nd week, Ed Sheeran will beat both of them. "Sing"'s doing great in the charts.
This. LP and Lana aren't the only ones with albums out in June, don't forget.
I'd rather see LP win a grammy for this album instead a #1 release
YES. I hope they get both
They won't win a grammy unless it sounds like Royals....
The Hunting Party - 3,400 seeds
Ultraviolence - 1,800 seeds
LP debut #1 on the Torrents Charts!
Let the Hunting Party begins, First prey Lana Del Rey
This could mean that less people buy THP, you do realize that, right?
Another thing I would like to add: Im not sure how sales will be, but in my personal opinion, 'Ultraviolence' is a much better album than 'The Hunting Party'
I said this in the other thread I made. I said that LP got lucky that Ed Sheeran's release wasnt the same week. Ed Sheeran would kill them both.
4. Sam Smith- 'Stay With Me'
36. Lana Del Rey- 'Brooklyn Baby' (was #10 yesterday)
47. Linkin Park- 'Final Masquerade'
50. Lana Del Rey- 'Ultraviolence'
93. Lana Del Rey- 'Shades of Cool'
96. Lana Del Rey- 'West Coast'
8. Lana Del Rey- 'Ultraviolence' (deluxe)
11. Linkin Park- 'The Hunting Party' (explicit)
13. Sam Smith- 'In the Lonely Hour'
Not in top 200:
Linkin Park- 'The Hunting Party' (clean)
Lana Del Rey- 'Ultraviolence' (standard)
My opinion still stands:
#1 Lana Del Rey
#2 Linkin Park
#3 Sam Smith
Somewhere at an Irrelevant number: Deadmau5
This is not about selling, this means that more people are listening to #visceral Alternative Rock rather than Indie Soft Pop shit
Linkin Park is sending a message, Linkin Park is changing the game ok they are not, THP will debut #2 and fuck the charts
You do realize how stupid that is, right?
Lana's new album only released early in the day. THP has been leaked for several days now. Give it time and Lana will have more downloads.
THP needs to be downloaded more so Lana can sell more
its actually the opposite IMO. i listened to the leak, and i will buy the album, if i hadnt listened to LP on youtube i would never get into them or buy their albums. i had their music on my PC and celphone long before buying all their albums. no one nowadays buy an album without listening to it before, unless you are already a fan of the band.
However, the leak quality is pretty bad, i dont think anyone listen or download it now that the album is on itunes
Uhm, guys lets not forget that THP debuted on itunes 40 days ago whereas Lana's new record debuted on itunes 17 days ago.
Also, I'll add to the chart list
Final Masquerade - #47 United States (3 days)
Wastelands - #119 United States (10 days)
Guilty All The Same - #124 United States (90+ days)
Rebellion - #138 United States (8 days)
Until It's Gone - #145 United States (28 days)
The Hunting Party - #10 United States(40 days on itunes)
Lana Del Rey
Brooklyn Baby - #36 United States (4 days)
Ultraviolence - #51 United States (5 days)
Shades of Cool - #93 United States (17 days)
West Coast - #101 United States (54 days)
Once Upon a Dream - #109 United States (23 days)
Ultraviolence - #6 United States(17 days on itunes)
Despite the album numbers, Lana's singles definitely have more staying power which is what I was trying to point out earlier. Not sure if that translate into more albums sales though.
Well, I was browsing through the web and on other sites where they discuss sales a few people see Lana and LP behind someone I never heard of. I am not that familiar with the US market but who is Sam Smith???
Naughty Boy feat. Sam Smith - La La La #2 in Germany... 328 million hits on YouTube in 2 months.
Trust me, LP will do it!
At this point, industry forecasters are predicting a debut for Interscope’s Lana Del Rey in the 175-200k range, with Capitol’s Sam Smith in the 125-150k range and Warner Bros.’ Linkin Park around 100k.
That would be disappointing if its true
One year and 2 months. The video debuted in 2013 April. Not this year.
100k? Only 20k pre-orders? Can that be?
