I'm surprised "The Hunting Party" is getting such a positive response for an album title. But of course, what do hunting parties do? They kill living things for sport.
Now, if THE HUNTING PARTY is the album name then 6.14 might be the release date. But it's a Saturday so probably no. And, yes I totally wasn't expecting guitars like this in the album, but if it is indeed the actual snippet from the album instead of just the guitar and the drumming track with other tracks muted, I didn't see it's relevance with Mike's current state of rock thing. Doesn't sound totally new to me.
The Hunting Party (6:14 min), maybe? It's probably a date, but I enjoy exploring other possibilities.
If they're going this direction again, go all the way. Don't make it a collection of different genres like Barely Alive Things. Exciting stuff, though.
That to me would be more exciting. A 6 minute, 14 second song from the band? That's longer than the Catalyst and would be their longest song to date. But sadly it's probably just the release month and year.
Indeed. But in all seriousness. I love the title, and it has the potential to be even more awesome if it's complemented with a totally awesome artwork. JUNE. MY BODY IS READY.
ya looking at the way it is written and how big the date is (and in date format). I would lean towards The Hunting Party being their next album with a june release date.
TLTGYA And that's kinda sad if you think about it. The band never went for more than 6 and a half minutes.
That raw sound! Very QWERTY/Heavier 2007ish era sound. This needs to sink in, but this is what i want too.
What's with the post about it sounding like the "old lp?" I've never heard a riff like that from them, even in Victimized.
But wait. How do we know if The Hunting Party is an album name and not the SONG name? It just came into my mind, I don't know how Linkin Park would reveal an album name so easily, after two cycles of cryptic stuff. The June thing probably gives it away but, who knows.
Pause the video at 0:06 - 0:07, when the camera moves over the mixing console. Everything is blurred, except that little blue screen. Looks kinda odd. Also, the lines you can see on the display move away and don't stay in their place. The lines move even out of the screen. Could be related to the camera movement, though.
Remember that LP2K12 video before the last album and how we over analysed that like hell? Lets maybe try not to do that this time?
