Linkin Park to Play Australia at SoundWave Festival 2013

WTF. We don't get awesome lineups like this in American festivals. Granted, not everyone can simply fly to one location in America for a festival, but fucking hell, I want to fly to Australia now.

 

NZ SIDESHOW PLEASE.

 

You realise this is a touring festival, right? It goes to most capital cities around Australia. And Soundwave has always put out quality lineups Last year's was metal heavy, this year's more Alt/Rock

Is anybody else sick of seeing Metallica always headlining over LP.

 

It's also Soundwave's 10 Year Anniversary I believe. Would make sense having such a packed lineup.

Um, no? Metallica is arguably the bigger band and have been around much longer so it makes sense for them to headline over LP.

 

Why? Metallica are older and more popular. Makes sense. if i were attending the festival, i'd rather LP close second to last anyway so i could skip Metallica who i don't care for and the majority of the traffic. Plus, less pressure on LP.

 

Disappointing. I want Linkin Park shows, not festivals.

 

This wouldn't be in place of Australian tour dates on the LIVING THINGS World Tour would it???? :O

I was listening to Triple M today and while they wouldn't reveal anything specific they were giving big hints that some of the headliners would be doing sideshow (Metallica in particular). So I'm hoping there will be side shows. REALLY hoping for and LPU show or something small like that

 

I'd assume they'll be at the same time..

 

If they announce a separate show, I'd rather go to that than Soundwave where I'd be surrounded by idiots who don't want LP there cause they're not 'br00tal' enough. They're already copping so much bullshit that an Alternative band is headlining a heavy festival. it's like 2010 all over again.

I screamed when I heard this lineup. Screams of pure joy and happiness

 

I thought this years lineup was almost impossible to top, but that lineup does it easily.

 

It happens every year. Either the punk kids, the metal kids or the alt kids get upset.

Anyway, Metallica are headlining.

Not related to this post but, I just checked wiki on LITE. Apparently the video is being released on the 20th of August . The sooner the better
