The Bennoda fans would love that.

I think we'll start getting clips next week. Have a two week build-up to the radio premiere, and I'm assuming subsequent iTunes release.

I'm a little worried, too, but I have enough faith in LP to know that I'll love the new music. :)

So it's scaring you now or was it only scaring you before? Stryker's a friend of the band's so it's hardly surprising that he's raving about the single. ;)

Out of all the band members, Chester's probably the most fun to listen to on Loveline, so I hope he's a guest.

Sorry, I don't wanna hear stories about girls and their yeast infection. Or weird things their boyfriends do during sex. Or how a penis is shaped. The only one I care about is my own, and it seems to be working just the way it's supposed to. If LP has anything relevent to say about the new album, I'm sure I will read it in a transcript.

Wait, are you criticizing Loveline or the shoutbox?

The acclaim from the media doesn't scare me, it makes me MORE excited. Why? Linkin Park has NEVER gotten respect from the media. Ever. Even during the nu-metal days when their sound was far more radio friendly/mainstream accessible. They were always shit on by the media, and even with ATS, while some places gave it glowing reviews...Rolling Stone did an infamous review where it didn't even really review the album and instead devoted one paragraph to it, trashing it for no reason.

To see Rolling Stone raving about the music, when they've never really supported the band means the new material is very good. It doesn't mean the new music is very poppy or mainstream, because HT/Meteora was that...and Rolling Stone didn't give those albums much respect. It just means that this album is a strong album.

Loveline. Hahaha. The shoutbox is where It's at. And there is neither Adam Corolla or Dr Drew.

Are people previewing the entire album at this point? Or just a handful of songs like last time?

I'm hoping that's right because the praise is making me a bit nervous too. So far, Rolling Stone not liking their releases contrasts with my loving them. I'm not sure we can be on the same page  But this feeling also contrasts with my faith in LP so I'm keeping hope alive. I'm sure I won't be let down.

Well, I'm sure it'd be a bit harder for the reverse to be true. :)

    Is scaring me now.

Linkin Park usually gets several bad reviews from the media critics and I don't know if the acclaim about the new record it's a good thing. I trust in the band, but all of this good reviews are messing with my head.

So because someone that works in radio is a fan of the band, their praise is "scary"?

Yeah, I think that specifically because they said songs are about finding the positive twist... I doubt Burn It Down, despite its name, will be a heavy song.

I myself find Rolling Stone's praise of anything Linkin Park, well quite strange. It definitely makes me wonder.

No one was able to figure out my rhyme. Just saying!

I'm talking about Rolling Stone's review.

When I say that I'm scared I mean that I really don't know what's to come and if I'm gonna enjoy the album more or the same way as ATS and Meteora (yes, I said Meteora). ATS is the best album of LP and got a pretty bad review.

Rolling Stone did give a pretty glowing preview to Dead By Sunrise. Just a heads up. Also I'm pretty sure New Divide was warmly received when it came out as well. Just be able to differentiate between actual enthusiasm and routine promotion, I guess is what it comes down too.
