That's what I'm thinking as well. It could just be "Hey, here's a clip of something that happened during the making of this album." It might not even be one the album. I think it most likely is on there somewhere but it could be an older version of a song as well. Maybe a song that ended up not having piano at all. The words he's singing could've been scrapped too.
I think it would be cool if this clip (1 of 8) was a snapshot of how this particular song began its life and each successive teaser was from a different point along the song's development/progression.. until finally we get to hear the finished product.
I would prefer similar previews of 8 different songs, but teasing just the one song, the single, makes more sense
So I've been reading a lot of everyone's theories on the ".com/o" on Linkin Park's website's URL. Everyone is trying to post what they think it might stand for and I honestly believe you all are thinking too hard. I'm sure the "o" just stands for "o"ne of eight. It's simply the best answer and I am thoroughly surprised no one has thought of it yet.
Hm don't think so, I mean they could just write "lp.com/one" then, couldn't they? When it comes to LP teasers, I don't think there is a "thinking too hard"
But then again, they could want all the fans to think of some crazy ideas just like all the ones on this thread, YouTube, twitter, Instagram and Facebook. I mean, if you read some of the thoughts people have come up with that "o", people have gone into some great depth of thought of trying to figure out what it is. Theyre probably playing tricks on all the fans to keep them busy with their ideas when the answer could be as simple as "one of eight". And just to freak someone out who reads my reply, the "o" stands for October, the cd comes out in October. Lol
Although it seems highly likely that '1 of 8' means 1 of 8 teasers, has this actually been confirmed. Could '1 of 8' just potentially LP screwing with us by posting a suggestive tweet?
Mike just confirmed the album will have 8 songs with 8 featured artists. 1. Only Hope ft. Kiiara 2. Won't Let Go ft. Rhianna 3. Cash Me Ousside, How 'bout Dat ft. Ms. Bregoli 4. Lions, Tigers and Bears (Oh my) ft. Katy Perry 5. Single Again ft. Taylor Swift 6. The Rebellious ft. Miley Cyrus 7. F.W.B. ft. Beyonce 8. A New, New Year ft. Mariah Carey
Perhaps they are trying to show the new writing process they had for this album. The piano and unclear lyrics could be the first step of 8.
If it won't be today, i would be very surprised. Teasing with tiny video and letting it go for a 4 full days just doesn't seems eight for me
