I think it's safe to say there's gonna be a filler album between MTM and the next album. My guess is that it'll probably be another remix album.
This is the complete list of "2008 Tentative Release Schedule". Apparently the source of the info is not Billboard. Well, this list was posted on the latimes.com forums: A similar list was published on a Spanish magazine.
Yeah, so its def safe to say the list is legit. The question of course will be if LP will follow through with these plans to release a Greatest Hits.
this has gotta be false.....weezer, oasis and eminem?? maybe im wrong but weezer is broken up, and doesnt oasis hate each other?
There's an older list i found posted January 3rd from the same source. It starts from January 8 onwards in that list LP's album didn't have a date, it just said "Fall 08" if i'm not mistaken. The thing is that i checked the releases that were set to be out from January 8 to today and so far the list is right except for a few cases in which the album was released earlier.
The Corrs? I'd fucking have that. Ha. If Metallica release their album on March 18th i'll take you all out for dinner. The list is quite clearly BS.
The lead singers of Oasis (Noel and Liam Gallagher) have never really gotten along but they still manage to put out new music.
The list is not fake guys. Billboard is credible source. That, and that same list is posted on various different websites by various different people (and it's not the first list of its kind). Now granted, the actual dates of the releases are subject to change, but the content itself, at the time it was posted, was (and probably is) still accurate. So if this GH album (or any of the other releases) doesn't end up being released, its not because someone simply made it up out of thin air. Just means LP/Warner (or whatever artist/label) decided to cancel the project.
Billboard are obviously talking out of their arses or have the most exclusive news for CD releases ever. I can't be bothered researching the whole list but ones that stand out are : Metallica - March 18. Seeing it's not even finished and their taking a 'Vacation Tour' in May seems to signal to me this is bullshit. The Corrs - Still on indefinate hiatus. Not to mention Linkin Park's Greatest Hits If they wanted to make it believable they could have split it up into seasonal releases instead of pinpointing exact dates that are blatantly made up.
Last time Billboards said that Given Up and Shadow of the Day will be the next singles for Linkin Park. They were true, but only partly when Bleed It Out filled in their spot before the two singles are released or set to be released.
The biggest question I have to ask: Where was this list last year saying when Minutes to Midnight was scheduled to be released?
If that list is true, then I will be very happy. However, I doubt it is, because I know that Muse and The Killers have not said anything about a new ablum yet, other then Matt saying that Muse may make a 50 minute symphony.
