poppiest shit they've ever done, seems like a Kiiara song feat. Linkin Park not the other way around, song is decent but not worth being on a LP album, not up to their standards!
Same here for me its not "bad" that they changed their sound (FWIW A Thousand Suns is my favorite album of theirs) but this is just too pop for me. Heck even when it came out I liked Burn it Down, but this? not at all.
Hahahaha yep! Cue the album releasing, same feedback I'm sure. Just like EVERY album release since MTM.
This might be just me, but this is a criticism I will never understand. What does Linkin Park sound like? They sound like Linkin Park. They reinvent themselves, even if the result isn't something you like. I'm not seeing the train of thought here. :/
I've already listened to this song like 15 times. So addicting Kiiara definitely is the highlight of the song!
This is quality pop and I fucking love the R&B style singing. Beautiful. Better than Burn It Down and GATS but it isn't the greatest single. Still, great song. 7/10 first listen.
I guess my biggest feedback is that the song isn't bad. It's very poppy, but I appreciate it for what it is. That being said, if there are 10 songs exactly like this on the album it will, for me, be their weakest effort. Even more so than LT. I hope we see instrumentation on the album. They took a nice step forward in that regard on THP, I was hoping they would expand on that. We'll see.
Nothing wrong with Linkin Park becoming a boy band. Even though that's not the case here but you know what I mean.
...and I don't like the idea of this kind of stuff making it to their live playlist. But very well. That's the start of a new era for the band.
The fact it has no intro really put me down because the beginning feels rushed, it had an intro in the drum idea video. That made it too short, but I think it will grow on me. I was much more blown away and surprised by Guilty all the same though.
I'm glad how it turns out, and I will be fine if the whole album carry similar feelings. This just in case Q: "HOW CAN YOU ENJOY THIS PIECE OF FECES KAKA?" A: "Well I don't over analyze into any aspects of the song or force it into whatever vision I have in mind instead of taking it for what it is."
Fuck. C'mon, this is not Linkin Park. The only thing that makes Kiiara it's be the song more mainstream and tipical, like all the fucking pop songs of the radio. Sorry, i need assimilate this thing. Only compare GATS and the message behind the song and after, listen "heavy". Hypocrisy, you know... I like pop, but this is... really this is the most difference/change on their music, inclusive over ATS. I need think about this...
This song is really addicting! I love this stuff. What I really find ballsy for some reason, is them not having this really intensive intro but straight into lyrics, How many Linkin Park songs start with some kind of intro progression? Hahaha! But I like that, Makes it fresher. Also the R&B Styled singing. But still the chorus sounds pure Linkin Park to me, Simple, effective, melodic, catchy And yes, by now Linkin Park is quite its own genre, haha
