I love the added instrumental parts. Should have been part of the full song.
Some people don't like fast cuts but In my experience it broadens the longevity, Because everytime I watch it I focus on different stuff and see the things I didn't see before. This video is so cool!

The baby represents Linkin Park's fanbase, because all they do is cry.

Someone explain the weird shapeshifters thing and the crazy fucking symbols.

That said, one of my favourite music videos for LP

Maybe the baby is the shapeshifter and the angel is being fooled?

It seems that most viewers would prefer the shapely and insufferably cheeseball music videos stylings of early Linkin Park and Joe Hahn, perhaps subtly indicating their preference for the perpetual and irretrievable days of yore. Instead, Pellington delivered a significantly impressionistic music video that ignores narrative in favor of collecting a series of images that seem to shout "Grief, grief, grief, motherfuckin' grief!" The editing matches this nicely, the tempo of cutting increasing from fast to faster to rapid montage at the climax, inviting the viewer to connect the disconnected "storylines." In some ways, this video is as juvenile as much of LP's prior video output, especially when offering such fresh ideas as a girl with angel wings and "The end is near" graffiti. But it's also more mature, in that it at least refuses the demographic kowtowing of "Numb" and the hastily grafted "politics" of "What I've Done" in favor of free-associative weirdness. The "meaning" here may be slim, but as a communication of a single emotional feeling, it feels nakedly sincere, which is infinitely preferable to condescension.

I thought the baby was referencing the Bloody Saturday photo of that Chinese baby in the middle of a bombed train station. But probably not, doesn't fit with the rest of the video.

This is really the only point that people are disagreeing about. There's nothing wrong with coherent narrative in and of itself.

Another great song ruined by a lousy video.
"Slow song about break-up? Yeah, let's put some post-apocalyptic nonsense and quick cuts. And also, Chester could do his overreacting hands gesture shtick."

Just in terms of performance footage, I really like the "Until It's Gone" video a lot more.

I wonder if the baby used in this version of the song is the same one we hear at the end of. Until Its Gone. Also, with UIG ending with a baby and this one starting with one, maybe the videos are meant to be connected?
