your right man. They don't need WBR, and that is good to know that they care about music more then the money they earn for it.

Well either way it's about money. Sure they want to release better music to their fans, but if you'd look...they're pissed because they're not seeing hardly ANYTHING for their phenominal sales through Warner Brothers.

So naturally, as greedy as Linkin Park could look, they're right. If I'd be making a shitload of money for a label, and not see hardly any of it, I'd be rather upset. That would be MY hard work going into their fancy mansions and expensive rides.

"Linkin Park, whose top albums include “Hybrid” and “Meteora,” said it’s looking into releasing music through the Internet since it does not plan to deliver a new album to Warner Bros. But the label could challenge any new music released if they remain under contract."

Sounds like the legal battle between Valve and Vivendi Universal, in that case Valve software wanted to release their mega hit Half-Life 2 via their online store Steam, meaning their publisher gets little to nothing if everyone buys online directly from Valve, bypassing the middle man, VU. LP could do this, but then again I like having an actual case and backup CD. Here is what I want to happen...

WB bends over and kisses LP's butt, saying things like, "We are money hungry bitches who like power, and want nothing more than your forgiveness, we will let you go solo and build Machine Shop Records, we will break our own contract, good guys, you rock!" Mike nods then coughs, "Forget something fellows?" the WB exec remembers and says, "We are your bitches and your our daddy?" Mike nods in approval, then Joe chimes in, “Ain't no thang but a chicken wang”

I hope they do go solo. They probably wouldn't sign with the label I favor (Saddle Creek). Bite me, WB.

Yea that's what I was thinking. LP can look just as greedy as WB in this. The only reason they're mad is because they're not seeing as much money as they should. But I also agree that if they aren't making as much money as they should, they have a right to be pissed.

what the band has is talents, so if they really break the contract with WB, i'm sure that some labels will sign them at once.

but just like what some of you just said, lp is a bit too greedy..hehe.. but still, i'm very happy to know that they really concern on the music they make..

i hope this legal battle will end soon, and WB will let the band go, so we can listen to some new releases very soon..
