Interesting. I remembered wrong, my bad. I'm sure we will get the song sometime next week and if not the rumored date of the 21st so I'm not really worried. Thank you so much! EDIT: All the artists on there share similarities except Imagine Dragons. Could really be telling of the new records sound.
I was kind of imagining how this song is going to sound and flow, and was thinking how cool it would be if Chester did 1 verse/1 chorus by himself, Mike did 1 verse/1 chorus by himself, and then they finished the ending together after a vocal-less bridge. Would be different.
I feel like this album could bring us a new side of Chester's voice after the throat-destroyer that The Hunting Party might have been, and also the fact that he's aging as well. And honestly I think this is one of the things I anticipate the most about the album, this and the return of Joe ! I really... REALLY hope not. As much as I like ID, I didn't like Believer at all, I thought it sounded so generic and uninspired.
Tomorrow will be an interesting day i think. We will get a new video and i think there will be more because of that pic with the LP Logo on that 13th feb
I agree. My new favorite song by them. Sadly it's a one off single from the remix album for Vitals and the remix album is trash.
Hmmm. My bet goes to Delson and Phoenix contributing vocals on some other tracks or Delson solo track like Three Band Terror? Yes please.
Yeah! I mean seriously, Delson in UIB was the best thing in LIVING THINGS. If they give Delson the opportunity to feature a vocal solo track in LP7. I'm in!
Yeah can imagine it, an awesome atmospheric progressive track with Brad on lead vocals building up to an epic shredding solo from the man himself. Will be a staple in set lists forever.
It seems as though the label isn't too arsed about promoting this album, or LP is deliberately not giving too much information. A simple 8-days of teasing, a test image that probably means NOTHING at this point (as nothing will happen on feb 13th and no particular meaning with placing the LPU logo instead of normal logo) and the prospect of us likely getting the single and full album information at the end of the video reveals, is nowhere near the levels we used to get with previous albums. Even THP fell short at promotion levels.
I am really, and I mean really hoping the promo picks up once the single is released. I get that Linkin Park is a 'big band' and don't require help to get their music out, but they also should be getting a promo campaign that matches their size. I totally blame the lackluster promo of some of the last few albums for why the sales weren't as high as they could be.
What if LP debuted Heavy at the Grammy's? Mike tweeted a couple days ago about Grammy's and SNL and the everyone was like: 'would be cool if LP played SNL'. And I agree, would be cool, but Mike shut that down. That still leaves some heavy (pun intended) speculation open about the Gammy's. I know its a far reach but a man can dream, right? I even believe it would fit with the TV screen promo that suggested something would happen on the 13th. And above all, it would be an amazing way to debut a song.
It breaks my heart that it seems like they just don't care about how well their music gets out there anymore. I was so disappointed with the way they handled THP's promo, so I've been hoping this album cycle would be better promoted, but so far it hasn't been by much. No performance at SNL next week was another disappointing blow. I want to see my favorite band do well on the charts again. If Blink 182 and Green Day can still kick ass, so can Linkin Park.
