LP do the first chorus being quiet, then the chorus after the bridge being even quieter thing so much. They seriously need to change the structures instead of doing the same thing over and over. Battle Symphony is alright.
I miss MTM and ATS era so much. I remember back then listening to Shadow of the Day for the first time and I was surprised because it's fresh and new.
I don't know man. I wouldn't mind that if Mike focused on Fort Minor then but it seems LT and THP still offered plenty compared to the 3 year break for this one. It's still too early to tell though. I don't really think the band gives a shit about lyrics that much anyway. I think it's about the sound of the songs.
Seriously, this song is awesome. "Ugh, why don't they just give us what we want? Don't they remember we got them here?" I mean.. haven't these same "fans" been asking for a softer LP album?
Let me put it this way: I like it better than Heavy but overall I am not too happy about LP doing that pop type sound. But hey Battle Symphoney gets repeated listens from me, I still rather wish Heavy doesn't exist though.
I still remember some saying that they wanted linkin park to drop a chilly soft album after the huntng paty where are you now ?
I haven't listened to this and surprisingly don't have any urge to, but reading the first impressions from people doesn't instill much enthusiasm. Worse than "Heavy"? Better? That song caused a huge shitstorm, so I'm really curious to see how people react to this new one when it's released officially by them and it's everywhere. If enough fans reject the album, then they better hope these songs find a new audience large enough to make up for it. Me, actually, very much so. Chances are I'll probably like this song when I hear it. I don't hate "Heavy", I may not be crazy over it, but I'd rather listen to it over the majority of THP. The mixed reception has me a little worried though.
Just realized that the starting of this song sounds kinda similar to 'Airforce one' demo they released in the latest LPU.
I liked this way more than Heavy on first listen. Like significantly. Heavy took me several listens to get into. I was already digging this on the first play through. As for this song coming out of nowhere? Well, this song *was* actually supposed to come out this week, but much later. Which is a shame, because once again a leak completely screws up plans. So no matter what we were going to hear this track this week. Just...not this early. My advice, if you do choose to listen: go in with no expectations (good or bad) and let the song speak for itself. I deliberately read no reviews before listening because I didn't want anyone's opinion to influence mine.
I liked the song, listened to it three times and can say that I love the vocal delivery. just wanted to clear something up. Because someone sad LP are this successful because of the fans that supported HT and Meteora. Yes, it's true on 50%. If the musical style change wasn't made beginning with MTM they were going to be Limp Bizkit 2. I wouldn't like them so much if they kept releasing the same album again and again. Don't want to offend anyone but I think if you listen to one or two genres in all you aren't fully enjoying and understanding music. Sorry for my bad english, hope I'm clear. p.s. I read everything, but post too rarely.
The song is okay, but with all this talking about lyrics and melodies, they are not that great. And both Heavy and Battle Symphony don't have much instrumentally going on...
