Not very odd. I didn't like how Mike sang so much on ATS, I definitely prefer Chester. I hope the next album is like MTM with mostly Chester on vocals.

 

how do we know its a new studio album they're working on? and if it is, why the announcement so early? ATS has been out for like half a year... if this doesnt come out until 2012 or 2013, was it really worth announcing it NOW? can we just relax for a bit please? a new LP album wont be out for awhile

I´m glad to hear that apparently they were not joking when they said that they will head back to the studio right after touring, even though I don´t expect a new album before late 2012/early 2013. But they also said that they want to release new music more often, so it´s not necessarily a new album the are working on at the moment...whatever...we´ll see.

I hope they are going to make a great album like HT & Meteora. They have tried everything now and they must know that what they are best at is epic (not sad) songs with mike rapping and chester singing or only chester singing (Like Numb & Breaking the Habit). I hope it's going to be a timeless album like HT & Meteora. I remember At those times LP was everywhere. TVs showed their music videos and everyone liked their songs (even if they were not metal fans like myself, but LP's Nu Metal was something extraordinary). Good old days! But now losing to Paramore shows something about a band who has "Hybrid Theory" as it's debut (The best-selling studio album of the 2000s).

I really want Chaz to sing more, and Mike to rap more.
Not saying I want any siblings of HT.

 

I seriously mean it. It's the only direction for them to go. Plus Mike's voice has an essence Chester's lack. They compliment each other extremely well. Besides, if people want Chester singing for a whole album, Out of Ashes is probably still in stores somewhere.

 

I definitely agree. Linkin Park can be really creative and try out a lot of new things but they should not forget their strengths. I really wish the new stuff will have a ton of rapping and distorted guitars again. The combination is nothing special today but the way how all these styles can be combined is still Link Park's trademark. Hopefully they remember that.

 

I just want Mike rapping more and then i will be happy.
