I can't believe The Darkness placed higher than Linkin Park! The Darkness' song sucked and so did their video.

I think Crawling should have been on the list. That was a kickass video.

The Grass that mike walks through and the whale stupid whale look really bad compared to a movie and I compare all graphics to movie CG and I dont care that LP just started out and did nt have that much money to spend on a video. The Flies in Paper Cut are ok considering theres not really that much graphics in that video but In The End almost half or more is CG.

Have you ever studied CG animation? Seen the detail?

The reason why Papercut's "CG" were better is because almost every graphic was with make-up... Rob's face wasn't CG, basically the only CGs in Papercut are the dragonflies and the manipulation of the walls where as In The End was a fully-CG animated environment... It's very hard to make the entire world that LP is in with such detail. You really should study more about CG animation before you bag on it.

As for me, I think In The End was a great video. It was very innovative. I hadn't seen such a beautiful piece of work until videos like Crawling and In The End.

Add that to the fact that it's not a video game and they didn't have two years to get the graphics completely perfect. They had, at most, six weeks to get the video completely done. For that amount of time, the video is absolutely stunning.

I dont think The Darkness can even be considered rock honestly, they have guitars so they are rock is that it? the song isnt even a rock song in my opinion

Well then let's see your 'friends' do a complete CG video for In The End, then. Without proof I'm calling bullshit.

Anyways, I don't think you understand the actual point. I don't know what other video you're comparing In The End to because there have been very few videos where the entire scenery was created in CG animation. But still, until you prove that your "friends" can do something more, then I say you're just trying to make yourself look good because I, myself have tried to make something CG-animated, and it's very complicated, and with only a few weeks to put it all together, it's not as easy as it seems. If your "friends" are that good, have they done anything professional? I'd really like to know since I am currently studying CG design/animation on and off, I'd love to see your "friends'" work . And I'd really like to see them do a video in six weeks. SIX WEEKS is what I emphasize. Anyone can do something better than the In The End video in more than a month or so.

 

OMG I was never comparing In The End to anything. I just said it had bad graphics and that Paper Cut had very little graphics and that Paper Cut is my favorite video and as for my friend who is good with CG lol hes my brothers friend and he is in his twentys and works worked for what ever company made Nemo, I only meet him once.

Interesting list. Congrats to Linkin Park, Nirvana, blink, Green Day, and the Foo Fighters for making the list.

 

The graphics aren't bad. In fact, they're really good. Maybe you're just one of those who aren't very impressed by CGI but believe me, it's hardwork and it's cool in its own way. Ain't nothing wrong with the flying whale, either. My favorite Hybrid Theory video would have to be Crawling because it just looks awesome. I was a bit disappointed it didn't make it into the top 10.
