Some of you actually think it's his weakest album? After more listens, I will say this is a top 3 Ye album ever which means it cracks my top 25 rap albums ever. It's that good.
I was actually thinking about checking out this album when it came out, but fuck Tidal and I really don't give enough shits to download it.
First songs that come to mind are Power, Runaway, Homecoming (mainly bc Chris), Lost in the World, Stronger, and Blood on the Leaves. Those are the ones that come to mind at least.
Good picks. Of any off of Pablo, I'd recommend checking out Ultralight Beam, Real Friends, and Fade. I don't think you'd like much of the rest of them. Also, check out FML, if you have any interest in what The Weeknd would sound like on a Kanye track (it's not that great though).
The general consensus is actually that that's one of the more cohesive tracks on the records #Opinions. I don't really know how to rank this record. It's better than 808 to me, but I didn't really like that record to begin with.
TLOP sounds like a solid EP worth of songs buried underneath a mountain of half-baked ideas. Things begin to cohere more on the second half of the album, but a lot of those potentially great songs are drowned out by Kanye and his bloviating bullshit. He has never been a great rapper or singer, obviously, but this is the first album of his where I felt like his vocals mostly just get in the way.
Almost got a headache making my way through this mess of an album. Since Yeezus Kanye's music has stopped being music and turned into a self-serving ego-stroking outlet.
I would really like this cleared up -- is this the final version of "The Life Of Pablo" with the new version of "Wolves"? And, if so, is it available only to stream?
Pretty sure the only person that can tell you that is Kanye. And even his word isn't to be trusted these days, soooo.
I took the released TLOP but felted old Wolves and put in OG Wolves and that's what I'm calling the album. P.S. Album #8 this summer!!!
I agree with you that this album is dope as hell. Top 3. Yeezus and 808s I just couldn't stand. Also, do you still have a KTT account? I enjoy your posts when I lurk there.
