On Saturday June 14th, 2014 Linkin Park will return to England for the first time since 2011 to play Download Festival 2014 at Castle Donnington. Download runs for three days through the course of the weekend and Linkin Park will headline the second day with acts such as Fall Out Boy, Bring Me the Horizon, Killswitch Engage and Fozzy. Linkin Park will play from 9:05PM BST - 10:50PM BST. View the full line up and schedule on the Download Website. This will be Linkin Park's fourth time playing the Download Festival in England, fifth time overall if you include 2004's performance at Download Scotland which happened a couple days before the actual festival at Donnington: June 3rd, 2004 at the Glasgow Green followed by dates on the famous Castle Donnington grounds on June 5th, 2004, June 9th, 2007 and their latest date at the festival, June 12th, 2011. The last time Linkin Park were in England was July 4th, 2011 where Linkin Park performed at the iTunes Festival, notable for the band's cover of Adele's Rolling in the Deep. Linkin Park are coming off a series of European Festival dates, the last being at the Greenfield Festival 2014 in Interlaken, Switzerland on June 12th, 2014. Download Festival is the last date on the tour and it's going to be a different show than anything the band has done before. For the first time in Linkin Park's career, the band will be performing Hybrid Theory front to back, the whole way through. The band has never done this before and it will be the first and only time they have played the record in sequenced order. Here are the list of songs that haven't been played live in a long time, some even in over a decade. Forgotten, last played February 24th, 2002 at Las Vegas, NV. By Myself, last played October 29, 2003 in Seoul, South Korea. Pushing Me Away, last played August 24th, 2008 in Laredo, TX. Cure for the Itch, last played August 31st, 2011 at Los Angeles, CA. Following the release of an LPTV episode earlier today, we know the order of the set the band has been rehearsing. With Act 1 being Hybrid Theory in full, followed by an Act 2 of their other material, likely transitioning in to The Catalyst / Requiem Intro and then Guilty All the Same. Until It's gone and Wastelands will also make the set but the order isn't known. This will definitely be an exciting set to see live and is something that is likely never to happen again, or at least for a long time afterwards. There are no live stream plans for the festival and it's usually the case that highlights are shown on UK channel Sky Arts the following week, however the listings seem to be only showing Download 2013 in the programme planner beginning Tuesday, June 17th. Most likely a mistake as they have stated highlights will air and it's listed as a new episode, it airs at 11PM BST. Also, yesterday Linkin Park announced that the Hybrid Theory portion of the set will be available as a digital download to anyone who purchased their new album The Hunting Party from the official website before June 22nd. It will be delivered on or before August 12th. Are you heading to Download this weekend? Maybe you're already there trying to desperately find a place to pitch your tent somewhere the random drunk guy's piss can't trickle into it from the hill above you. Either way, let us know if you're excited to see Hybrid Theory performed live on the LPA Forums! The setlist was tweeted out by @hairydel - check out the tweet HERE. I really wish I was going to this, they haven't done a UK tour in a long time so hopefully we'll get one in 2015 but who knows!
My experience at Download Festival 2013 was one of the most unforgettable, greatest moments of my life - having been part of the crew of a band (Semperfi) playing one of the smaller stages, I spent the weekend wandering around the Artist Area catching glimpses of various legends, stocking up on the free Red Bull on offer, and, most importantly, using their vastly superior toilet facilities... no seriously, you could have slept in one of those things quite easily. I'm truly gutted to not make it this year to see my favourite band and favourite album being performed, but I wish everyone a safe journey and an incredible weekend. p.s. Also, be aware of my 'Freezer Bag Dry Feet' approach. Fresh pair of socks on, a freezer-bag over each foot and tie around your ankle, and put on shoes. Instantly waterproof. Thank me later folks. x

OMG cannot wait! Fourth time seeing Linkin Park! Should be incredible! Bowling For Soup, Fall Out Boy and LP in one day!
So no chance of a stream, huh. Well, I hope that at least it gets recorded or something. In video I mean.
