iTunes The Catalyst Preview

Does anybody else find it unnerving that Wikipedia, which has had the song listed at the usual 5:42 length has suddenly switched the length of the song to 3:41? Granted it's by no means the most reliable source for this kind of thing, but to randomly switch the time listed on the article like this seems a little worrisome to me. Was that the full song that was posted in the MoH trailer?

 

3:41 was the length of the MoH trailer rip which Phoenix has tweeted about saying it's not the official song. So someone who edited that was misinformed.

 

@blackout: nope not the full length in the MoH trailer. The trailer audio was edited down to fit the game footage. There are other clips of audio out there that prove that there is missing audio from the trailer itself. So hopefully it'll all add up to 5:42 like it should!

 

Phoenix specifically stated that what was heard in the trailer wasn't the official thing? Thank God. I'm looking forward to this near-6 minute song.

Here's some interesting info on the clean version of ATS.

While checking for The Catalyst to be released at Midnight EST (which it clearly wasn't) I stumbled upon the tracklist for the CLEAN version of A Thousand Suns. Of course the list was the exact same but only the following 2 tracks had "Clean" labels beside them:

When They Come For Me
Blackout

The rest of the songs remained without an extra label. I'm assuming that these 2 songs will be the only tracks with curses or swears on the album.

This was on the Canadian iTunes store by the way.

I doubt The Catalyst will have profanity in it. Not that I give a rat shit either way, but it doesn't seem like the kind of song. Who knows at this point.

 

so.... are we absolutely positive the song will be available for purchase today? when has ANYTHING ever been released on a Monday? on Amazon, it says original release date is Aug 2nd but the song isn't available until Aug 3rd. I know we will hear it in some way or another today, but I want to purchase the .mp3.

 

If I don't get my pre-order download tomorrow (which is August 2nd for me) I'm gonna flip a bitch. lol
