Yep. Unless Mark Tremonti has a son he doesn't know about that lives halfway across the country from him. =P
Nah, listen to some of Phi's bass parts on Snax songs and you'll hear how good he can be. He doesn't play to his full potential on LP songs.
I don't understand why everyone's comparing Mike and Brad to legendary guitar players. That's like comparing Rob to Neil Peart.
Well if Mike did the riffs to Madison (the instrumental he did for the VMAs) he is pretty darn decent. Not a guitar god, but not horrible at all either.
Personally I feel all the guitarists you've listed (Well most) wouldn't be classed as 'good', i'd say great 'great'. JH and Slash are just GOOD, they are brilliant, so if we class them as great, then yes, Brad and Mike are 'good' guitar players (Note that Mike isn't really a guitarist, more of a balance of quite a few things) Just my opinion. Feel free to rip/burn/flame me at will if you don't agree
The thing is Mike isn't out there to be the next Hendrix or whatever, he just plays guitar. Same thing with me and my synth, I don't want to be the next Gary Numan or whatever synth pioneer is out there, I just play.
Well he's way better than me so automatic kudo's right there. Plus Mikes well rounded in the instrumental area and stuff... yeah. So he gets a gold star.
