don't be ignorant...if you had any knowledge about the guitar world you would know that slash belongs to the minority that doesn't show off and makes quality music...his solos(and all guitar work) are top notch...solos in sweet child o' mine, november rain, paradise city etc. belong to the top along witk stairway to heaven, hotel california etc. but since i see that most of you on the forum don't listen to 70's, 80's stuff...i don't know...i'm not insulting anybody but if you want to compare brad with slash(which is ,let's be frank-impossible) you must have an extensive knowledge of both types of music...maybe even artists...but comparing brad with slash is just insane...i just said that we shouldnt hype up about his solo and expect something in the rang of slash...the more modest we are,the better music will we receive...sorry for the typos...
Hae you heard Dave from Sum 41? He's playing fucking crazy solos, like on The Bitter End and so on...
Slash is the most overrated rock musician of all time. Not that great a riff writer if you ask me and his solos are wankery.
Well he's in the Brown Brigade now and guess what. My cousin was supposed to be the lead singer but he turned it down. Dave's cousin Vaughn Lal, who is also in BB, is in RPO which is my cuz' band. He was the first choice! I hate the radio announcers that say it was the salads' singer. RPO 4ever! Dave is singer LAWL! www.myspace.com/rpo www.myspace.com/brownbrigade
You got a point there, but if you compare the genres they are in like Slash (Hard Rock) Brad (Nu-metal) they are way different. Nu-Metal barely have long songs and in the other hand, Hard Rock songs has average about 4 Min. to about 7-8 Min. So if brad was like in a hard rock band, he could probably show off his skills like all those guitarist in hard rock bands. So i would say he is pretty good guitar player for a Nu-Metal band like Linkin Park.
Yeah I would say he's good man, I like the guy .. i mean come on, he's some guitar player .. well, better than me anyway! v_v
