Of course Linkin Park has a good guitarist. If someone supplant Brad's place, it wouldn't be LINKIN PARK anymore.
There's no way to show he's a good guitarist yet, he hasn't tried to prove it so. Until then next to nobody respected as a guitarist is going to say he is and will be considered a bad guitarist. I thought he did that on purpose.
What's wrong with you people??? Why are U asking that??? His great!!! Please stop asking such stupid questions!!! Are U LP fans??? If you're, please don't ask it again!!!
Qwerty is one example... and then he always does some "unknown" sounds with his guitar in concerts... i.e: One Step closer (the demo one). When the band plays that song, he does this weird sound when Mike and Chester are singing "Waiting alone I cannot resist, feeling this hate, I have never missed, please, someone give me a reason to rip off my face...". The notes he plays there are so freaking powerful and gives the song the final touches.. Oh yeah def..! hope he does.. he's a great peson anyways, but he makes mistakes like everybody!
it's a combination of, using a flanger pedal and banging the neck+sometimes walking up to his amp to get feedback, and he usually picks behind the nut a few times.
I agree whit this, only because I'm forced to listen to these other bands out there that think they can solo when they can't, etc. Brad doesn't push himself into something he knows wont fit a song, thats how I am with writing music. I can have a brilliantly played solo or riffs, but i wont add it just cause i dont think it fits. That's basically what brad does. He has more technicality than people give him credit for.
I like the simplicity of it. I think it's harder to make simple things than harder things sometimes, actually. He does a really good job at it. I voted 'He's O.K.'
Shredding would proooobly not fit into a linkin park song, but he could vary it up way more than he does. The next album will be the test.
hmmm, wad can i say? less is more.. anyway, brad does play solos, check on one of the lptvs, he kinda played a solo over mike's rapping.
To be fair, although a load of LP songs are stupidly simple like the choruses to Numb and In The End, some of his riffs are reasonably difficult to play, like the intro to One Step Closer with the harmonics, and the intro to Figure.09. And even though it's fairly simple, the guitar lines in Lying From You actually rock... If you want a bad guitarist pick on someone like Billie Joe Armstrong...
Actually he's pretty good, but I want him to play a solo...... But Billie Joe Armstrong isn't that bad though. He's beter than Mike
