I like cheese.
I like cheese too...
I think the overall point I'm seeing is no one has any idea what the hell the video is about! Hahn in his mysterious ways has confused us once again, we expected the imagery to be very illuminous and the video to be slow-mo. I was hoping to get that apocolyptic feel, I think if the band would have started the video with the last supper, have Shinoda or "King Shinoda" deliver a last supper toast, then we see the snake which in biblical christianity views symbolizes "evil" or satan. Now we have LP in a apocolyptic Last Supper setting awaiting the end to something, evil is lurking, which in this case could be the Transformers bringing the end to our world or the world in the video...Then the song could've fit the album feel along with connecting to the Transformers: Dark of the Moon movie...
But instead we get what we got...And thats ok too! Didn't make much sense, but it was cool to watch
"According to the band's official blog, it was pulled due to "technical issues" and will be available for viewing again soon."
Maybe they forgot the colors
I turn on my computer to watch the video and this happens >.>
Boring video and edited version of song puts me to sleep. Original version of Iridescent had feeling and emotion. This just doesn't in my opinion. Starting to miss the "hard rock" version of Linkin Park also. They need to come out with a Wretches and Kings or Blackout music video to bring it back. And why is everything in black and white now? I thought it was 2011 not 1957. New Divide puts this one to utter shame sadly.
Mike=Fail..i somehow dont like him on the throne ..
Chester=epic... really atleast some1 is bringing out the emotions out to some extent..and he looks gud..
where is Rob,brad,dave????
and the single edit is gone wrong the second time in ATS..first was the catalyst, now dis one... imo..they shud leave the original beautiful songs alone...
transformers..wel not much of an issue for me... ???
1) Yes, the original version is the best thing Linkin Park has ever done.
If they wanted seriousness, they'd have taken the album version as it as, and nailed an amazing video to that.
But honestly, the Transformers mix has grown on me, too. Now I like this one, but I love the one on the album.
2) I don't know what the video means, but I'm a fan of slo-mo, the special effects, and the b/w. On those notes, loved the video. Absolutely loved it. Although Mike's left eye pissed me off.
3) The idea of the music video beginning with a last supper: yes, it's awesome.
Its kind of ironic how the word Iridescent means "displaying a play of lustrous colors like those of the rainbow" and the video turned out to be all black and white =P
but awsome video nonetheless =D
It's not all black and white...
The music video is probably the worst out of all the ATS videos, I liked the BITS video way better, but that's just my opinion.
black and white = dark of the moon?
Btw the video is still on mtv.de
Sorry for double posting. -.-
My computer hates me..
Edit: On topic, I think LP should end the transformers thing, it was ok the first time around, but now....meh
well almost......come on! u get my point
ZOMG JOE PULLED BUILDING 7 EFHDGJRIBVIHJFBVRGTNTBITBTMOBKOTNNKPONPTGN
weird, unusual, trippy. Ya know, its not bad. I think I kinda liked it. Like most have mentioned, the album version of the song would have been tons better for a video, but this'll have to do. Anyway, I liked a lot of the ideas Joe was playing with (like the last supper theme, Mad Max style) & the twinkly, spacey setting went well with the song (I liked the addition of Bumblebee the Autobot as well). Its biggest fault though was that it seemed to have too much in going on in it. Like Geki said, if Joe focused on just the Band more instead of the SFX etc it could have been more cohesive.
