"Battle Cry" is great. Already liking it more than 90% of "Night Vision" (the last 10% being Radioactive and Demons). However, I still think "Until It's Gone" would have been a better pick for the movie.
Really? I think it's better when original songs are written for movies. Movies songs usually are the ultimate tier of commercial music nowadays!
Well, I agree. Hans Zimmer was featured on the track as well? Though, "Until It's Gone" is like the evolution of "New Divide" (which is the evolution of "What I've Done). Iridescent does simply not fit.
I'm glad Until It's Gone wasn't the pick for Transformers. Just give all the fame and glory to the Imagine Dragons and call it a day.
I'm in love with the drumbeat of this song. This is kind of like the third incarnation of Imagine Dragons. Their first was their indie pop rock days. The second is the one we all know, with alternative mixed with dance-pop and indie like "Radioactive", "It's Time", "On Top of the World" and "Demons". The third is their soundtrack songs, which are more dark and experimental sonically and lyrically.
I'm a little disappointed at Night Visions Live, probably because the band's more recent performances are better. Dan R. hasn't mastered "Radioactive" by this time and Dan. P isn't always on time with his drumming. Also, some of the extended intros, like "Round and Round" and "It's Time", were cut out of the audio CD. Wayne's guitar is awesome. "Radioactive", "Tiptoe" and "Hear Me" are probably my favorite, because of the layers not clearly heard in the audio CD. Ironically, I enjoyed the acoustic bonus tracks more than the concert. I haven't watched the DVD yet, though.

What great instrumentation. Live strings, live percussionists (aside from the usual drummer). This song is awesome, too. I can't wait to finally see this band live. I skipped them at Lollapalooza last year to be barricade for Queens of the Stone Age/Nine Inch Nails which required waiting at one stage all day.
Just finished watching the DVD. The documentary is great and the concert is cool too! It turns out they left out a bunch of shows from the concert because they were part of the documentary.
