Linkin Park chose 'Meteora' because it sounded epic. "Epic" is the term they use to describe 'Meteora's sound in their opinions. They were trying to make a monumental album in their careers and were looking for a name that could best illustrate the type of sound they were trying to portray. They saw the tour guide on their bus, thought 'Meteora' was a name that was epic in nature, just like how they viewed their album, and picked it. So yes, there's a huge tie-in between Linkin Park and the name 'Meteora'. That's twice you've been wrong in this thread, I suggest you do a little more research before acting like a know-it-all punk.
It wouldn't be that hard, unless someone was stupid enough to think a suggestion was so great they had to copyright it before they suggested it to LP.
That's an awesome idea! Coming in 2006, the followup to Meteora, 'Let Them Name It!' Featuring the hit singles 'How About' and 'Name It!'

I think I'd prefer something like Vol. 3: The Subliminal Images Anyway, i've always named my personal LP compilation "A Walk In The Park" and I've always thought that'd be a mad name either for a live DVD or something ... not sure about an album. otherwise, another idea - in an interview with "onstage" in january 2002 mike said ... Isn't it difficult to concentrate on recording with all those groupies hanging around? [Laughs.] Yes. Our next album is going to be entirely about groupies. It's going to be called "Who Is This Drunk Person Standing in the Front Lounge of Our Bus, and Who Forgot to Lock the Door?" rofl Source
I went through an awesome brainstorming session, and I've made a list of potential album titles. Tell me what you think. St. Anger The Fragile Millenium Year Of The Spider Enter The 36 Chambers College Dropout Running With Scissors The Emancipation of Mimi Tremulant Hard Knock Life No Sun Today A Thought Crushed My Mind Enema Of The State X&Y Violator Ritual De Lo Habitual Tell me what you think.
how about "take off your pants and jacket" to add to that list, rofl [/b][/quote] I don't think so, that album name has been taken.
Lincoln Park is what they should name their next album, with country songs like, "Illinois" and "Sweet Home Alabama".
