I actually prefer to remix songs that aren't my favorite because I'm not as attached to the elements of a song.
You know, as much as I hate all of these nu-metal covers, this one's probably the best/most HT/Meteora-esque cover out there, so props to them. It's still cringe-worthy, however.
Why is this thread still going. All those metal covers are shitty, lets not give them the attention they want. ._.
You know what strikes me as annoying? Okay, you've heard the new song in the official lyrics video. You don't like it. Okay, you hit the dislike button. And essentially you should stop following anything about that song then and there. But here we are, with performances for the late late show and these behind the scenes videos with still so many dislikes. It's as if people cannot let it go. They seem to follow every show or video related to the song and just dislike it. It's just absolutely immature from these guys to be going about disliking everything related to it. /rant
"Holding on, why isnt this so heavy. Holding on, for soft shit i wasnt ready. I keep shitting about whats bringing me down, If I just let go I'd set free. Holding on, why isnt this so heavy."
The chorus could actually be used by nu metal fans. They should learn to let go and be set free instead of dragging around what's bringing them down(the sound of this song, apparently). Another thing that's funny and annoying is how some who don't like this song calls the lyrics meaningless and something people can't relate to. Ugh. I just want to go on a rant somewhere so badly.
Wow, this wasn't bad, instrumentally speaking. The vocals were hit or miss for me, though they did improve in the second half of the song. It was probably the accent they used for the rapping that threw me off a bit, though those are probably their actual voices. I actually liked the clean vocals and especially the screaming. Say, the scenery in that music video looks very familiar... Edit: I liked this a lot more on the second listen. The instrumental gets more interesting in the last third of the song, with more going on in the background. This actually does sound really close to "old LP", in terms of the guitar tone, the chord progression, and especially the intensity.
I'm posting this here. zweir.Z delivers it again. A more rock aproach but still not quite the "OMG NUMETALLLZZZZ" bandwagon
That was a great "rock re-imagining" of Heavy! And that snippet for "Wings" at the end sounded dope, too. I know I will check out zwieR.Z's more recent work soon. Really enjoyed his past LP remix albums/EPs (not really sure what to call them).
This sounds like a What I've Done mash up... If Heavy sounded like this, Heavy would be labeled "What I've Done Pt. 4." Not that I hate it, because I think for what it's worth, this is done well, but I couldn't imagine LP releasing the song to sound like this.
