Collector Alert: According to listings on numerous online music retailer websites, it appears Warner Bros. is re-releasing the vinyl version of Linkin Park's debut album 'Hybrid Theory' this April. This should come as welcomed news to Linkin Park memorabilia collectors, as the initial pressing of this vinyl was capped at only 5,000 copies. The "coloured" vinyl (note: colour to be determined) will reportedly include a bonus 10" vinyl of "One Step Closer". The bonus EP will ship much like the original over a decade ago, with a now out of print poster, Linkin Park street team stickers, lyric inserts and will also include the My December b-side. It will retail for around $25USD, which is apparently far less than what original copies typically sell for on online auction sites. The release dates seem to be April 19th internationally and April 20th in North America and it will be released as part of Record Store day that will see a number of artists releasing or re-releasing material on vinyl. It does sound like Warner is releasing as much LP material as possible. Seems like they're realising that LP are near the end of their contract.
This is the first thing that came to my mind. Warner is gonna start milking Lp for all they're worth. Which could be good for us lol.
Not really that useless. The recent prices of Hybrid Theory vinyls have skyrocketed in the past two years. They were going for around $70 in 2011 and since then they are landing $200+ on ebay. It means for those people who want the Hybrid Theory vinyl (according to ebay, there must be hundreds), and could never pay the price.. now is their chance.
This makes me very happy. I am just about to start my LP vinyl collection too! great timing! also: yay for color and bonus vinyl!
I am so buying. Hopefully Meteora and MTM get rereleased as I'll then have the whole set. As for the colour, I've got a feeling it might be red?
SO HAPPY wanted this for yearssss. basically a f*ck you to all the people who paid crazy prices for it lol
Its just a re-issue dude, calm down, I'm pretty sure i read around its gonna be a 125g issue. I'm not sure on what type of vinyl the 1st pressing is on but I believe the quality will be noticeable if you are an audiophile :3
Since it is the 10 year anniversary of Meteora. Warner bros will prob re-release meterora on vinyl or something else who knows.
it's the only of the studio album vinyls i need and i didnt plan paying a lot of money for it, so im pretty happy. i dont really mind what audio quality it is, just happy ill have it
