I was 7 when it released, but I started liking LP when I heard My December, and after that, there was no stopping.
I really wanna congrats Mike Shinoda cause he is like a Role Model and God to me. He is just too brain-blowing !

    Explodus Linkin Park !

I still remember when my parents bought this album for me ten years ago. I was 13. It all started with the One Step Closer music video. I love this band.

    LP will live forever.

    wow, wow, wow...what a ride it's been.

10 years. There's SO MUCH that happens over the course of 10 years. Needless to say a decade of time has it's highlights of ups and downs. This album has been a key for myself, to get me through the hardships when they suddenly happened and I needed an escape, I discovered a new style of music not to say I haven't listened to music prior to HT, I've always been musically inclined to sing but never handle an instrument. HT made me grab a electric guitar, I didn't care how I played it, all I wanted to do was just play to the rhythm and the rhymes. I wasn't very social active at 11 years old so with my door closed and playing a guitar to the invisible crowd in front of me was my fun and my guitar skills grew despite not reading a single sheet of written music and a basic understanding of the general chords.

I discovered new talents in myself and delt with issues I never thought I'd have to put up with at such a time in my life but I had Hybrid Theory, Meteora and MTM to get me through it all and if it wasn't for an album like Hybrid Theory and for the music to progress I can't really say what band I'd be listening to had the album never made it to the shelves. I grew up listening to the likes of Bon Jovi, Garth Brooks, Michael Jackson and Elton John but none of them I could really call MY band or artist cause I didn't fully understand music or they were before my time. I had influences growing up to. i had Glen Campbell and Keith Urban BOTH tell me on separate occasions to 'keep playing guitar' while shaking hands with me...while I'll never reach rockstar status those where exciting moments...and then in 2007 I finally got the chance to see LP live and then the following year I shook hands with Chester during 'In the End'...that was just the beginning.

Needless to say I'm pretty damn proud to be a Linkin Park fan.

I'm sorry for writing a book, this might be the longest post in the thread for now.

So congratulations to Mike, Chester, Joe, Phoenix, Rob, and Brad for the tremendous amount of work and energy put into Hybrid Theory and all the albums. Thank you Warner and Jeff Blue for taking huge chances and giving millions of people/fans something new to listen to on October 24th, 2000. We look forward to what comes from A Thousand Suns and beyond.:headbang:

DANG. I was like 5-6 years old when HT came out. Oh boy, did I miss out on the crazy madness that ensued straight after the release date! xD I never got to listen to a lot of HT until I was in my Minutes to Midnight years, and needless to say I looooooved it. Thank you Linkin Park, for being my band for 10 years, and beyond! :D

Whoo, time flies. I was 11 when the album came out, and I didn't take notice of the band until the summer after. Good stuff Linkin Park!

    Congratulations on the continued success!

Was only 6 when it came out -_-'' But its still one of my favourite albums of all time
My opinion on all there albums
Meteora > Minutes to Midnight > Hybrid Theory > A Thousand suns.

It took 10 years to finally beat it ;)
