i was talking about to stop the hurricane
oh yes, that would work. Lets just build a wall hundreds of miles tall.

oh yes, that would work. Lets just build a wall hundreds of miles tall.
Then that shit would just fall over on people.
Then that shit would just fall over on people.
Hm, what's a bigger disaster? The hurricane or the wall designed to protect us from it falling on us?
I must say, that's quite possibly the dumbest idea I've ever read. Sorry, but it's not plausible or sensible.
Wish the hurricanes would stop being mean and go away to like... ...the polor caps.. Anway... if it becomes a 5 in texas, best of luck! And fill your cans to the brim! you need that gas! Put imagaination with phychic's and build it!
UPDATE Hurricane Rita is now the third biggest storm on record, and Katrina isnt even 1st or second. The storm has sustained winds of 175 MPH (280 km/h) and has been a category 5 storm since about 4 this afternoon. I recommend you all go to www.cnn.com and read up on this all. But ya, sorry Texas, you guys are majorly fucked. It will be worse than Katrina.
It's going to die out in a day. That storm is just going to tear itself apart, when it hits mainland it'll be down to a 2 or 3.
I am really impressed with society and how they are handling things. THey are really prepared. They have rescue people standing by and they have evacuating over 1,000,000 people from Houston already.
i live in holland, there are no such things as earthquakes, hurricanes, volcanoes or something here.. but we always have to fight/live with water.. but we'll survive.. it's not a life threatening situation
Duh, over a thousand died after inept government response over Katrina, of course they're not going to screw up again.
thanks for keeping us in your hearts. its becoming hectic in my town. gas is staying the same at 3$, but news is becoming more drastic. there has yet been an evacuation sign, so i guess we are sitting it out. thanks again guys for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers. rock on.
Possibly. But probably not. You do realize that the gulf of Mexico is hot water, and that it will likely stay around the same strength when it hits? And I live in the Dallas area, and by the time it gets here it's supposed to be a category one (at least, as of this morning... I understand it's changed a little bit, so that may be different now). linkinpark4life_69: No, it will not be worse than Katrina. The local governments already ordered mandatory evacuations and provided transportation for those without it. The federal government also is acting much swifter than with Katrina (obviously, as Mark said). Not to mention the fact that we're not 20 feet below sea level to begin with -- that may help a tad.

i didnt mean damage wise, but strength wise, but it did drop a little, its a category one, but it mad landfall like 10 hours go
