I don't think Weezer's new album will take away too much. Weezer's core fanbase is a lot smaller and their last album didn't sell quite as well as some of their past stuff. I'd say Weezer will sell maybe 100,000 copies in their first week and debut around #3 or 4 on the charts. The days of selling a million albums in one week are probably long gone, but I can see LP doing about 600,000, and I'd be shocked if they didn't debut at #1. Also, Kanye West's new album was originally scheduled for September 14th but got pushed back a month, so that'll help LP out.
Okay, before you start going to post similar messages in other threads, about an album you haven't heard yet, please remember that just because you are upset about The Catalyst not being your thing, doesn't mean everyone needs to hear about it every five minutes. We already saw your very constructive comments in the shoutbox and now here, so please don't make it a habit. Thanks.
I dont care how much they sell, as long as all there real fans buy the hole album. I just dont hope any of there fans download it through pirate bay or such.
But in all seriousness though, lets have a little bit more respect. I know you are upset about The Catalyst, but there isn't any reason for you to post ridiculous messages like these.
Well you have all those previous fans/raving teenagers from the Hybrid Theory and Meteora years and then you have people like me who had recently gotten into Linkin Park. If most people from the HT and Meteora times buy the album and then new comers like me also buy the album, realistically they should be selling more than the previous albums. Buy you can't forget about the people who seem to have "rejected" Linkin Park after hearing their new single. My estimate: 6,697,254,041. Not a typo.

Honestly i never pirate the music i like, being Linkin park - Metallica etc, site_two get a life man it's obvious this record is gonna sell
Your opinion of how good the album is has NOTHING to do with how well it will sell. Your opinion is irrelevant and thus invalid. Then again, you're claiming to be Mike Shinoda in the shoutbox. So yeah. I guess your opinion DOES matter.
