Well...i've never been quite a fan of hers really. I'm gonna be honest about my opinion though, but I have nothing against yours. Hilary Duff, I hate her acting, singing etc. It also bothers me like how in that video, she wears all black, and pretends to kind of in a way...be 'tough' (especailly since she's singing pop...). Also, I highly doubt she really wrote or ever 'co' wrote any of those songs, or even used her own instruments to create her own sound. But just as twicethetrouble said, she does in a way deserve some credit concerning how well she's done in the past few years in her accomplishments. But other than that, truly i'm not a fan of hers. But there's nothing wrong with you doing so, so don't worry about it

How true. I don't have anything against her as something for kids to listen to. But I find her songs repetitive and irritating. It's not something I'd listen to by choice. I never saw the videos, and to all you guys who say she's hot...meh. Quit robbing the cradle.

People are allowed to listen to whatever they want. You have no right to tell anyone else what they should and should not listen to. You're not them, and if you don't agree with it, keep it to yourself. Stop calling music you don't like "sh*t". Even though I don't like Hilary Duff, I'm not telling people what and what not to listen to.
I heard the cover of "Don't Dream it's Over" that she did, and I think that this should say it all--she should stick to covering other artists. Watch out Britney...Hilary might get "Baby One More Time" next.

Okay, you have the looks, a decent voice, and a cult following of pre-teen pop-culture-saturated girls, but NO musical talent/knowledge otherwise, and you sell more albums and get more money than some hard working rock artists (some who are struggling to make a living), and extremely talented jazz artists, classical artists, blues artists, etc. can be hard-pressed to earn money because the public are so used to the simplicity and 'genericness' of pop they can't sell their music... Hilary Duff and others like her (*cough*Skye Sweetnam *cough*, etc) can sell records that lack musical creativity, and any sense of uniqueness, just the same stuff that people have heard OVER and OVER again...IMO (AND I STRESS THAT!) she is a disgrace to music. I respect your opinion Hybrid Theory and other fans, but this is MINE, and you have to respect that too!
