I have two versions of High Voltage...which one is the real one? One is 3:30 and the other is 3:45 and neither of them are the reanimation one
They're both real. One is the version from the HTEP (the chorus goes "It's high voltage, you can't shake the shock..."), the other version is the remix from the One Step Closer single/Frat Party/Hybrid Theory Special Edition ("High voltage, this is the unforgettable sound" in the chorus).
Just like tasta said, they're both real. One was simply made for their EP, and one is the remix of that. The remix was cut from Hybrid Theory, and instead came as a track on the One Step Closer single, included in Frat Party and the Hybrid Theory SE and also was available on one of the LPU cd's. They later further remixed High Voltage on their Reanimation album (which I personally think sucks).
Adding to that, people think it's after cure for the itch (am i correct?) because the start sounds like the end of cure for the itch. That version is way better than the HTEP version.
Right, High Voltage was going to be track 12 out of 13 on Hybrid Theory before it was cut, with the ending of Cure for the Itch fading into it.
High Voltage - Hybrid Theory EP (just doin' somethin to tell you who I am) High voltage - Hybrid Theory Special Edition (put a label on a life) H! Vltg3 - Reanimation (sometimez sometimez sometimez, liki-liki-linkin park)
I dunno if this is old news, but on HMV.co.uk theres the In The End EP with the high Voltage reprise on it. yet for some reason HMV have said: Japanese 7-track mini-album featuring live material (recorded at the Docklands Arena, London), a 1999 demo of 'Step Up' and rarities - including a storming cover of the AC/DC classic, 'High Voltage' lmao whats up with that!?
