I actually would love to hear Mike sing by himself on a few songs. It would be interesting and different, which is good.
Yeah. I (maybe you all did but I didn't pay attention and notice) didn't know that Mike actually did sing on some songs. When I saw LIT I was really impressed...hes really good...and I'd like to see more of it.
I think that Mike has become more of a backround to Chester's singing. What about Papercut though? The rapping was amazing. Another thing: I think that why LP doesn't make songs like they used to for the EP and Xero is maybe they thought they needed something better, even though that's kind of hard to imagine. Did Mike sing in the Reanimation version of Pushing Me Away?
Read my post again. That's why I said for Mike to produce the next record himself as he helped with It's Going Down..without Don at all.
I hope the next album just takes all of Mikes hard core rap/hip-hop lyrics and all of chesters screams and rock lyrics and just make the perfect line between rock and rap.
its just like many of lp songs that werent released or put on cd for sale Dedicated the lyrics are brilliant Step up the lyrics tell so much about there rise High voltage and one Part of me
Read my post again. That's why I said for Mike to produce the next record himself as he helped with It's Going Down..without Don at all.
No, I meant that's why it sounds good. Don had nothing to do with it.
I think they should just get a different producer. I would like them to be produced by David Bottrill, he has a really open mind (hell he produced for Tool) and so he wouldn't restrict LP at all creatively, quite the opposite! I love the work he did with I Mother Earth on their new album, great stuff.
yeah all i can say is if they get back to their roots as far as mike, and rap, and bring in the new heavyness from meteora and chesters better more exsperianced voice from meteora, then we got ourselfs a !@$$^&^ record!
No, I meant that's why it sounds good. Don had nothing to do with it.
anyway i agree with tdk_rap, it would be awesome.
all mikes old rapping is awsome but listen to forgotten, figure.09, hit the floor, papercut, and nobodys listening he can still do it he just doesnt need to he showed this when he freestyled during nobodys listening at manchester arena
FINALLY!! i've found people who agree with me! i've spoken about this to heaps of online and real friends who say just say stuff like 'meh', he still sings good'. but mikes not s'pose to 'sing', he's an emcee, he raps. i also agree that don gilmore is holding mike back. xero had awesome lyrics. as soon as don came along, he sorta made mike slow down and take a step back. DAMN YOU GILMORE! *shakes fist at him* EDIT: its going down is a kikass song
I'm glad some people here want to see Gilmore gone! However, I think they do need a producer! Holy shitz, I just thought of something! How about: Rick Rubin He's a legendary hip-hop producer that has worked with bands and harnessed their unique sounds. Namely the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, they started with him and they released 'Blood Sugar SM', System of A Down, and the Mars Volta. He has the hip-hop side of him, as well as experience with getting bands up to their full potential. What do you think?
i think barney the McF*ckin purple dinosaur could make a better producer than gilmore. i like your idea Odaton. like it alot...
Mike should be the producer of there next albumn and use his own record label, the one he uses for simplistic
bam, why should they go for WB? would they not make as much money some how if they switched to their own reocord lable? they may be in a contract were they cant leave too, that can be holding them back
