If you read the weekly updates, you'd know they aren't anywhere near being finished. And if you knew anything about Bungie, you'd know that they wouldn't straight-up lie to all their community just to make money.

The game is finished, the rest of the preparation in part for the game is not.
Oh, please. Like you would know. Would you care to tell me what resources tell you that the damn game is finished? God damn. It isn't finished! They're still working on animation and lighting on a lot of the levels. They also haven't finished playtesting, and they haven't completed the Xbox Live portion of the game. Beta testing isn't even done yet. Don't act like you know what you're talking about.

John Olin from XBOX Evolved IMed me on AIM one day and was blabbering about how Halo 2 is finished and that it won't be released for another entire season. He tells me this from the sources he has in Microsoft, people that often give him information on upcoming events and games to post on the website. Microsoft GAVE him the Halo 2 theatrical trailer personally to post on his site.
Right. That's a fan site, it's not a Halo fan site and it means nothing. The webmaster of HBO is personally friends with half the people who work inside Bungie. Halo 2 is not completed. Just because Microsoft gave him the theatrical trailer doesn't mean a damn thing.
Halo 2 IS completed, why do you think they're beta testing it? It's like when you finish a report, you re-read the finished report to go over any mistakes or bugs you may have skipped over.

They may be beta testing, but they haven't completed playtesting for Xbox Live, nor have they completed animation for most of the cinematics. Why would you believe some person who runs a fan site? Microsoft wouldn't tell some random person who runs a fan site before they tell people who matter. You're one gullible person.
No offense Tempest but please try having more solid evidence to back up your claims, before making a declaration that you're right and Will is 100% wrong. I'm sure with how much Will is into Halo that he'd honestly know if the game was done or not. He's following this game like a fly on sh*t, and owns several books based on the game. I think he'd know if it was released, thank you very much. Moving on however, even though I don't play Halo, I have my own theories as to what two letters of the "BEE" acronym stand for. I don't know if it's been solved or not but back when Halo came out the full name was "Halo: Combat Evolved". So therefore, it would be safe to assume that one of the E's in BEE stands for "Evolved". Now, taking a simple guess here..we all know that the name of Halo's development company is "Bungie" so, taking the simple way out we can say that B stands for Bungie. So therefore B= Bungie E= ? E= Evolved Anyone agree with me on this? I don't know if I should be peeking my head in here when I've never played the game .

He has heated debates with Microsoft employees about games and posts them on the sites.
Phase One Complete: Network Throttling has eroded. Secondly, a blurred picture of 'Dana' has popped up on the About page, with this text in it: There's a bunch of new text on all of the pages, too.

The site now has references to the planet Reach, ONI, the Seraph Covenant fighter, and "interplanetary warfare." It may not have anything to do with Bungie, but it DEFINITELY has something to do with Halo (as everyone's known from the beginning).
So far, we only know of three theories to what can happen on August 24th: Early Halo 2 Release (This has already been disproven) Halo 2 Single Player Demo Release Halo Rerelease with Xbox Live Support I'm personally going for the latter. It would be tight to play the original Halo on Live.
Ever heard of XBConnect? I guess it'd be better with XBL though, so you could have headset capabilities. I can wait for Halo 2 for that.
Yes, but it's limited in what you can do unless you pay for the program. And yes, the headset is a definate bonus, so I'd rather play it on Live.

Although a Halo re-release with Xbox live capabilities sounds good, i really doubt they would do it with Halo 2 only a couple of months away. It just seems unlikely, i think personelly they will put all of the Halo multi-player maps for download on Xbox live at some point for Halo 2.
