I love this song the guitar riffs are incredible. I seriously can't wait for the new album! I made a piano cover for this amazing song, hope you like it!
Group vocals on this album. I guess, we can still say that they would be experimenting in this album, at least for a bit. On a totally unrelated topic Check this video out. Sick! That was so good! Gave the song a totally different feel to it. Now I really want to hear a piano version from the band!
I see it do well on the Rock charts. But then again, we do have coldplay's new song. And Coldplay is known for creating new records with digital downloads. Maybe LP should have released this song a bit later? It would have charted better then, I guess. But I do believe the album's hype went up and I expect to see a rise from what LT sold.
Might be a little hipster-ish, but I don't care at all how high this song or the album charts. The songs that have charted high for LP lately have been personal duds.
With as distant as this new material will be from the mainstream, I wonder if this will be their first album to NOT debut at number 1.
Wow, after taking in these lyrics, this song isn't just a song about Chester yelling at somebody (which I never thought it was).
Depends on the competition that week. I'm sure it will still go #1 unless some hug artist releases an album that week
I think it will go #1 but it will sneak up on the charts. People may no realize it until it happens. Since this single got so much positive review many people will see what the album is like.
I wouldn't be worried. HT was their debut album. It didn't debut at number 2, it peaked at number 2. It debuted at number 16 after selling 50,000 copies in the first week. This album and HT are a complete different story. I don't see this album debuting at anything less than number 1. I'm expecting increase in its sales from how much LT sold in the first week.
Just think about it, ATS and LT debuted at #1 even with or without the "old Linkin Park" fan base. Just imagine when those fans of HT and Meteora gets on board this album, this album is gonna go BIG. Linkin park's fan base is too big for this album not to hit #1.
Why are people worried about charting already? There isn't even a music video out for it or anything yet. Once it gets more public exposure, it'll make it's way up. Plus, the entire point of this song is being anti-pop radio so it defeats the purpose if we're being all "Yeah, let's be #1!"
I wouldn't expect it to go extremely big. But I do expect it to show an increase. The thing is Meteora was 2004, there is a huge possibility that a large chunk of those fans are now techno fans and rather not listen to aggressive rock music anymore. It's just how the scenario is right now. Half the listeners were into Linkin Park because LP was the trend back in those days like how half the people listen to techno because that's the trend these days. So I wouldn't expect a HUGE increase. Maybe at best, the opening week might get in 300k copies. Well, we still want the song to do well since we are fans of the band. It's just a thing, I suppose. I would give examples by talking about manga but I doubt you'd understand that
