It's a song called Grudgematch and it was written during the A Thousand Suns writing sessions. In order to download it you need to have a LPU 15 membership. The song is free and can be downloaded here, so what are you waiting for?! Along with the release of the song, this months "Track-by-track" with Mike Shinoda was also released, and fittingly enough this month the episode is about this song. If you are a LPU 15 member, you can watch that here. Mike gives some good information about the song, how it was inspired by events in the world and how it came before When They Come for Me and Wretches and Kings but deal with the same subject matter. More information is in the episode, so go and watch it. Do you like the song? Do you think the wait for the next one now will be too long? Come and discuss in our forums Source: THE STARKINATOR and Linkin Park Twitter
I saw this in the shoutbox, try with the link from the email. That seemed to work. If not, just wait a bit and it'll work
Dope little dirty beat but easy to see why "When They Come for Me" or "Wretches and Kings" made the cut over something like this.
Not bad. Reminds me of I have Not Begun. Kinda crazy how many ideas these guys put out for ATS era that sounded vastly different from the final tracklist.
It really does seem than the ATS demos lyrics are much more blatantly political in nature compared to what's mostly on the final album. ie, Black Out's lyrics, and now this track.
Meh. Another rapping track. Hope they bring another full song like chance of rain out of the dark for us
pretty unique sounding (out of LP's other stuff), I wouldn't mind more stuff like this, right after the insane acoustic album that is LP 7 of course
And it goes like bang and they're off and running Looking around like someone do something Stop running, don't matter I come gunning So little time to squeeze all this fun and Humming, coming at ya now Stupid enough to stand, we'll back ya down like Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah What, yo, it can't be stopped Break out your little light, kid, call the cops Call the swat team, gimme all you got The finger ready on the trigger and we're calling the shots So, y'all really gonna brawl or not My best bet's you're probably gonna stall or stop Got caught doing rocks, opportunity blocked And when I sit back, put a hole and you're shocked So hah, we don't huff and puff We'll turn your home and stuff to a gust of dust But I bet you act like enough's enough Stand to me and I'll promise we'll fuck you up Shackled up for the sake of the family I don't have to say a word, y'all understand me Stand up and put your back down flat And we'll keep it like, like, like that Anything in bold, I'm not a hundred percent confident on.
