What do you think of this album? What's your favourite song from it? I got into it faster than I got into LP. I think it's Green Day's best album by far. It seems to have been recorded so much more professionally than their others in my opinion. I'm not sure which is my favourite track...probably 'Wake Me Up When September Ends' with 'Boulevard Of Broken Dreams' at a close second. 'St. Jimmi' might be third on my list (I love the speed)
'American Idiot' is a great album, same goes for the song. I loved 'BOBD', but it is waaaay overplayed on the radio, it was like #1 on modern rock for 4 months. I'm totally sick of the song :x 'Holiday' is a great song, but i'm sure it's going to be overplayed. I'd probably say that 'American Idiot' would be my favourite song at the moment Billie Joe Armstrong has a big-ass head, it's like the size of my balls
It's a good CD. My favorite songs at first were Wake me up when september ends and Jesus of Suburbia. But as I listened to it more, I started liking Homecoming and Whatsername. I don't like it nearly as much as Dookie or Insomniac or Nimrod. I think its great for Green Day to put out such a good CD 10 years after Dookie.
I used to like it but now I've played it to death, which has marginally spoilt my liking for their new music. Besides, Dookie was 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000x1000 times better.
The CD is very good and I like their new political views. My favorite song on the CD would have to be Holiday.
Grr. Music quality is ot reduced by overplay.what type of fans it has. As for AI. Fantastic album, but highly overrated.
If that was directed at me, I meant that I liked it so much that at one point it was the only cd I was listening to, and now I'm fed up with it.
American Idiot is great. Songs are all good but I think my favourites are 'Holiday','St.Jimmy' and 'Give me novacaine'. Oh and 'Are we the waiting',too. Heh.
If that was directed at me, I meant that I liked it so much that at one point it was the only cd I was listening to, and now I'm fed up with it. [/b][/quote] Yea that's how I feel as well. I was listening to it non-stop, but it got old after a while. Which happens to every CD I guess. But it happened a lot faster with AI.
I absolutely love the "American Idiot" cd. "Dookie" will always be my favorite cd that Green Day has made, with "American Idiot" being a close second. My favorite song is "Boulevard of Broken Dreams". That has been my favorite song ever since I bought the cd the first day it came out. I do not think "American Idiot" is overrated. It is truly a remarkable album that does deserve every bit of praise that it has been getting.
The album is amazing. "Wake Me When September Ends", "Holiday", and "Jesus of Suburbia" are among my favorite tracks. I just hate how all these kids ask their friends "Hey have you heard of that new band Green Day?" They've been around for what now...around twenty years. And to think in the pop world a song receiving hardly three weeks worth of airplay is labeled an old song. I think if the teenies were told that Billie Joe is more than thirty years old, they'd be crushed.
This album is so fucking overrated it's not even funny. Dookie and Insomniac we're the 1st two albums I ever listened to and I thought that they were amazing. Now (with the rest of the pop culture scene) they decide to join the rest of the people and make an album that basically has a subliminal message of "Fuck Bush!" And I swear to god, if I ever hear BOBD again, im grabbing my shotgun! You guys want to flame me for it, go the fuck ahead! [/rant]
American Idiot is so frekin' cool. My favorites are Homecoming, Jesus of Suburbia and Letterbomb. Nobody likes you Everyone left you They're all out without you Having fun...
Green Day's "American Idiot" is probably one of their most excellent albums. I fell in love with it the instant I listened to it. My favorite song is by far, "Holiday."
American Idiot is awseome. I love the way it's told in a story. I really love Homecoming, Jesus Of Suburbia, Holiday, Letterbomb, St. Jimmy, and Whatshername.
I think American Idiot is getting way overrated, but I still like it, but not as much as Green Day's first few albums. As for my favorite songs, I like Letterbomb and Whatsername.
