I am generalizing on my family. My mother does alot of favouritism.

one of my friends from school died yesterday...in a car accident...and the persons who were with him are now at hospital...

ok i'm really worried. we just found out (yesterday) that my uncles girlfriend was pregnant with twins. now that is really really good, but the problem is that my uncle has had 2 kids before, and they both died of a very rare diesease that the doctors said was something to do with genes or something along those lines. either way him and his ex wife were incompatable and couldnt have children. my two cousins died, 1 aged 3 the other aged 5 (they wernt twins). but the point is that i am really really worried that these twins will have the same diesease, and i know for a fact how devistated my uncle was when his sons died, but to have to go through that for a third and fourth time... i don't want to say any of this to anyone in my family though as right now everyone is really happy for him (as am i) and i dont want them to stop being hapy by reminding them of that

 

Hey man, i wouldn't worry about it. Just try and be positive and give your support. Ofcourse you're going to have concerns, and you're right to, but try and keep a positive outlook on things and hopefully things will turn out for the best.

About talking to your family, maybe it is for the best that you keep it to yourself, as you said, this may bring them down, but if you feel the need to then go ahead, you never know, maybe they feel the same about the situation but don't want to worry you?

Also, i'm not sure about the chances, but he's with somebody else now, so that's a different set of genes completely & maybe these would just work better. Sorry, if that sounded wierd, i'm trying to put it the best i can.

you might be right about the differnt set of genes, but this diesease is so rare that the doctors don't even know the symptoms of it or the real cause, and they always said his second son wasnt gonig to have it, but he was born and he did have it. so... i dunno, i don't trust doctors on this one, but thanks for trying to help
