    @ Sarah.

Jacob, I actually did something sort of similar with my parents a few days ago. I know that what Arlene said, about it having built up and just needing to be let out, was the case for me. So I hope you're okay.

Arlene: To be honest I'm not too sure. She's saying to me, "I better not fucking lose friends over this", when I want to hang out with people she introduced me to, but I've become very good friends with. Then she's having a go at me for not being upset enough, and "chatting up" other girls, when I'm really just trying to act happy, move on, and just get out there. Ugh. Thanks though.

Everyone hates those with authority over them.

e.g. parents, boss at work, COPS...

So I'm pretty sure I've fallen in love with someone who lives about 800 miles away, and I have no idea when I'll be able to see her again.

Oh wow, just when my ex wants me back I just fuck it all up. I haven't fucked it up in six months but when she wants me back I just somehow manage to fuck it all up. I should get an award for it.

I hate saving for a baby and trying to get myself out of $500 worth of debt at the same time.

No offense, if you can't come up with $500 (which isn't a ton of money mind you, probably what you'll spend in a month alone on a baby) to get out of debt, where the hell are you going to get the money to raise a kid?

When the kid's born I get a baby bonus ($5000) from the government. But I'm slowly paying off a $200 bill $50 a fortnight, but am saving about $70 a fortnight for the baby.

That might sound like a really great plan on paper and all, but I think you're going to need to save more than seventy dollars every two weeks.

Yeah I've done the maths and all, that's why I'm trying to get stuff now (got a whole nursery for free already it's called freecycle on yahoo groups) but apparently my stepdad's going to help me get out of debt by paying my debts for me. So when my debts are all paid I can save over $200 a fortnight.

You're going to need a lot more than just 200 to raise a kid dear. I hope you realize that because I'm starting to believe you're a bit clueless about what's coming your way.

I mean, you don't want the daddys money, and you're complaining over just 500.00 of debt? Try being several thousand in debt...because that's likely to happen after tha baby's born.

She's genuinely pissed off my Facebook status says "engaged" to a girl from another state, who I've known for a few days. It's quite obviously a joke. Don't forget you're the one who broke up with me.

I know I sound clueless in writing but in real life I know what I'm doing to try and get rid of my debts (even asking money from my father who's in $300,000 worth of debt). It's still an ongoing argument between me and my family whether we wants the father's money or not. I want it, because after much consideration for him and for me, but my family doesn't concerning other issues with him. Money was the #1 issue from day one and I know that. I've been given (they called it a present) about $500 to start off for saving, but paying my debts is going to be out of my own money.

So you're given $500 which will be spent in no time, and then from there on out you have $400 a month? No offense or anything, but you really are clueless if you think that will be enough.

If you live on your own one day sarah you're going to need to pay rent. A one room apartment is usually at least 450-500 a month, then you have groceries which are at least 200-300, payments for bills (if your apt doesn't provide utilities) and so forth. I pay a thousand a month in bills and I don't even live on my own..or pay rent. If I did pay rent itd be twice that easily.

With all due respect sarah I think you are truly oblivious as to what's coming your way.

You're accusing me of being clueless, still when you have never been in my shoes, a soon-to-be-mother, quit her job for her child, and having to try to meet ends? You know what I hate? People who haven't been in my shoes and telling me I'm clueless. Okay, no offense to people who work their butts off for their cash, since when did you have to be a rich bitch to have kids? I knew from day one what I was getting myself into, I know how hard it is to care for a child, I've had to do that several times with my nephew, I had to look after him while my sister was away for days at end and as much as that doesn't sound like what I'm about to put myself into, it's a small example. Ever heard of budgeting and planning? I've had to admit the fact that I can't get stuff brand new already for my child and had to resort to getting stuff second-hand. I just spoke to a girl who was in the exact position as I am right now and guess what? She survived and she's my age. And says what law that dictates that I can't make ends meet? And yes I have lived on my own and I know what's involved, this is why housing commission comes into play. And you wanna call me a drop kick for taking government housing? Go ahead. And yes I do have a back up plan if that doesn't work out.

    That's my two cents.

It's one thing to babysit a child for a few days, it's an entirely different thing to raise your own when you have to care for it 24/7 and buy diapers, food and everything else it'll need.
