If he's new to your family you should probably go easy on him.

 

We've been lenient on him with most other things, but he's already managed to ruin the blinds and curtains in my window and hasn't learned that he's not allowed up in the window.

He's actually in the room right now and hasn't made one pass to try to get up into the window so I think he at least learned his lesson as far as that goes.

 

So I was hungry around lunchtime, I walked into the kitchen and thought: 'what's that smell?', I followed my nose and ended up at the potatoes that I bought last week, I picked up the bag and there are WORMS under the bag. WORMS. And a smell you wouldn't believe, I wanted to throw up. I wasn't so hungry anymore after that. But dear god, I haven't had a scare like that in a loooong time. I took a second shower cause I felt all dirty. I still feel dirty.

Call me a pussy but it was FUCKING GROSS. The whole potatoe was filled with little white worms and there was sticky stuff under the bag where more worms were happily crawling in.

Euuurgh.

 

Thanks everyone. I mean, it's not that I have a bad shape, it's just, my different ethnicities are kicking my ass when it comes to losing weight.

Those were probably maggots, then. They were probably in just one of the potatoes but ended up migrating to the other ones. Did you keep them in a dark place?

But, yeah, that'd be kind of gross.

Well they were smaller than maggots but still, really fucking gross. I don't even have them in a dark place, they're just sitting there, on my kitchenblock....near forks, knives and spoons. >.<

But it's okay now, I cleaned everything with chlorine.

I hate it when my mom tells me what to do with my life. Hello, it's MY life, not YOURS. NO I don't want to take classes and NO I don't want to work in the medical field. GTFO. I've been applying to jobs that are up my alley but it's not like I can go "Hey, hire me! I will serve you well." Fuck. I'm doing the best I can and I guess that's not good enough for you, mother. Why don't you apply for a job and see how hard it is? Oh that's right, you don't even have computer skills so nobody would even bother with you. So shut it and leave me alone.

 

Leonie's feeling really down lately over memories in the past, she really wants to talk about it, and it's good to talk about it, but it automatically makes me feel the same way. I don't know what to do. o.o

 

It'd probably be good for her, if she has someone who feels empathy with her like that, as long as it doesn't do anything to you in the long term.

 

It's a little complicated, it's memories we both share. We talked about it alot when I was there last week, it was really nice to talk but I felt emotionally tired and sad after all that. Don't get me wrong, talking helps alot, but you shouldn't dwell over things that already happened. I'm just torn between helping her out, or making myself feel bad again.

 

I figured. This is just me but if I was in your position I'd probably talk to her if it meant helping her and if it isn't something that would upset you in the long term. If it is I don't know what to suggest.

 

Yeah well, that's the thing. Like today she mentioned something I already put far back in my mind and haven't thought about for a long time, and it got me a little upset again. I try to put it back again but it keeps floating back and it ruins my whole day.

Maybe I should just tell her gently that it's always nice to talk and I'm always there for her, but that she can't dwell on it.

The stupid thing is though, I feel like talking about it too, but then I remember it's silly to keep thinking about it, so I'm kinda stuck on that one too.

You're right that it's probably something you shouldn't dwell on, but if you try to keep it in the back of your mind it'll be so much more painful when it rears its ugly head again. It doesn't help to try and repress memories, so it's good to share them every once in a while - even if it is a drag.

It's just that I don't understand vanity+why it should exist at all..

It's not just looking good from the outside, but from the inside, too!
There's nothing wrong with wanting to look good. But [in my opinion of course] it's wrong only wanting to look good.

 

But I feel bad that I don't look good. If I look good, I'll feel better. Otherwise, I'm happy. I'm on the Dean's List, I'm in a committed 3 year relationship, I have a strong relationship with the Goddess an the God, and I have the best friends a girl could ask for.
