I wouldn't go if I were you. You're 21, and it's your own life. Sure you can avoid a fight with your parents but come on, they can't push you to do it, it's ridiculous.

 

You are right. They want me to work in retail and I cannot stand working retail jobs. I'm good at administrative/office jobs and just because there is a new edition built onto our local casino, they want me to apply and work retail there. I get what they are trying to do and I appreciate it but they have known for a long time that working with computers in an office setting is what I am good at and what I love to do. I just want them to see that and by telling them that I don't want to go, I just don't want them to think less of me than they already probably do. This is just so lame. I'm not happy with certain things in my life but what makes them think that I'll be happy working retail when I know and they know it's something that I don't want to do? Sheesh.

 

I think that you need to sit down with your parents and talk quietly about it. How it's your life and how you want certain things changed to make yourself feel better again. Noone can decide what is best for you except for yourself and sometimes you just have to show some spine and stick up for yourself, cause in the end it's not about pleasing others, but it's about you and you only.

You know what? I'm sick of everyone. I'm sick of my so called friends here (and the one true friend I do have here, I couldn't even go to her graduation party because of my mom's birthday party), I'm sick of my "brothers"'s bullshit with their girlfriends or wives, and I'm sick of always being made to look like the conniving bitch.

My mom told me he was annoyed at me this morning..HOW I WAS FUCKING SLEEPING...thats why, you didnt get up before 10 and do yard work.

Ummm. Maybe if someone told me I HAD to, or that there WAS work to do. But I was under the impression its a fucking Sunday and Im sleeping in.

Just because I don't always want to work around the house means I cause problems...No it means I stay out of their way cause I SUCK at that stuff.
